Im goin to buy Oblivion goty Today and i dont know if i need to buy Oblivion (original version) with Goty edition
Or Goty edition for xbox360 includes All versions?
And i dont have xbox live and hard using memory if hard needed i can buy one ofc

*facepalm. GOTY contains original version you would no that if you read the back of the case or done research. The GOTY is the exact same game as the original except that it contains official dlc on the disc. No fishy stick for you!

No. You don't need the original game. If you just buy GotY Edition, it comes with everything you need. Two discs, one containing the original 'vanilla' game, and one with the Knights of the Nine, and Shivering Isles DLC. I recommend installing them after you've thoroughly enjoyed the vanilla game. Enjoy!

Yep. I'm guessing you have it on PS3.


You have to sleep in order to level up. Oblivion is a single player game, so no XBox Live. And yes, the load times are a pain on the XBox, but that's the only drawback that I know of (besides the inability to use mods). The XBox just doesn't have the memory necessary to load Oblivion quickly. That's not a jab at the XBox, just a fact of one of it's (few) limitations. Oblivion loads extremely fast if you install it to your hard drive, instead of just playing from the disc. :whisper:

would u tell me how to install the Oblivion vanila and goty edition on my hard? i have memory atm but going to buy hard very soon and i have plenty of saves on my memory (im level 5 now) do i need to play again i mean from level 1 if i install on hard? i asking cuz my saves are on my memory i bought xbox arcade so memory is in inside i cant accses to it
can i move saves from memory to hard then install goty and vanila? then play from where i used to be i mean level 5?

I don't have the Arcade version, so I don't know about that. I just go to my blades in the 360 menu. Go to games, when Oblivion is in your harddrive, yet you are still in the Dashboard. Choose install to harddrive. It will calculate the space for you. And that's it. You must have the first CD in the tray, as the game will occasionally reference it, but you will be amazed by the speed, and even more noticeably, how much quieter your 360 runs.
