Need help installing OSSO

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:14 am

-To install the new version: Simply decompress the 7zip archive into your Oblivion folder, then use some sort of archive invalidation technique (e.g. OBMM) to get the game to recognize the new files.

How do I do this in OBMM ? I'm in the "Archive Invalidation" bit but don't know what to change.

Thanks!

Make sure the option "BSA Redirection" is selected, run "Reset BSA timestamps" once, then "Update Now" on the bottom and you're good to go. Don't need to run it again.

Awesome, thanks a lot!

I did it slightly differently. I unpacked my sounds BSA (using the BSA browser function in OBMM), then unzipped OSSO on top of it, overwriting. I then repacked the sounds bsa (again using OBMM), reset timestamps and played away!

Hehe, overkill unless you do it that way for easy base (re)installs. BAIN makes the OSSO install much easier, IMHO.

No, I do it to almost ALL non-esp files like pyffi'ed meshes and retextures. Then I but my BSA's on another hard drive and register them in the oblivion.ini. The result - almost no loading stutter!
