Need help making an idea a reality.

Please could someone help? I have an idea for a mod I'd like to do but I unfortunately have no previous modding experience so could really use some help. Basically what I'd like to do is play Morrowind on my HDTV with an Xbox 360 Controller. Now I know what your probably thinking (heresy) but my TV is a 40" and has better sound than my laptop which is a 17" but also I just prefer using a gamepad. Now while I can currently play on my TV using a gamepad it isn't exactly ideal. So what I'd like to do is,

1) Increase Morrowind's resolution to 1920 X 1080 or at least 1280 X 720

2) Alter Morrowind's UI so that it's like the Original Xbox version.

3) Increase the size of all in game text as well as your HUD.

Thanks. Tom

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Utilities.Detail&id=69 will let you create your own fonts and choose the size. I do not know how to change the UI to the Xbox version though.

It's been a long time since I played on the Xbox, but isn't the UI basically the same, except that the PC version lets you change the size/shape of the menus?

I never played it myself, but while watching a video, I recall seeing a few shortcut buttons like "A for spells, B for inventory."

Also, I think the Xbox UI allowed you to highlight items rather than hovering over them.

To be honest, I don't think you should try to get the Xbox UI, the PC one is considerably better. For anyone who has tried to decorate houses on Xbox Morrowind, you'll know it's a real pain. With the PC UI, you can click and drag items, and place them easier.

Plus, who DOESN'T want to be able to see all 4 menus at once, that's awesome!

EDIT: For the controller issue, I did a quick search http://www.gamesas.com/?showtopic=238948&st=0.

I thought the xbox interface worked well for having a controller. It was just the pc interface but you just switched between panels with the triggers and items were highlighted instead of a cursor which works well with a controller.
