Hi all, I'm on the PS3, having bought the GOTY version recently. I'm having difficulties playing as a mage, as a zombie takes forever to kill with a fireball that does 5 points of damage over 3 sec. I've played Oblivion on the PC during its release window, and unfortnuately while I remember how powerful spell stacking is, I forgot the starting baby steps for a mage to get there. My toon is a dark elf on this run, and my ancestor guardian gets killed in 2 hits at Bleak Flats Cave.

Any tips for the first 7 quests to get recommendations on the highest difficulty? Any easy to get weapons or more effective ways to use spells?
