Need help removing weapons added by fwe mod

Post » Mon Aug 11, 2014 6:44 am

Hi, just reinstalled FO3 for a fresh playthrough with FWE and MMM. Only problem is I want to get rid of most of the added fwe weapons and associated ammo, but have no idea how to do so, as I've never used the geck before.

Anyone able to explain how I should do this without breaking something? From what I've managed to find so far, I can't just delete the weapons, I also need to remove them from containers and enemies loot lists, or raiders spawn with only melee weapons and stuff apparently. I also want to remove the new ammo if possible, as long as it won't break calibr in the process (an ammo mod which is part of the fwe install). Not removing or changoing the updated unique's though, so don't want to remove any new ammo if it's used by something unique, just the ammo used by the new non-unique weapons.

Thanks in advance for any help.

What parts of FWE do you like. You might be able to get those parts as stand alone mods or at least mods that are close to those features. That will save you a lot of time and work.

I pretty much want everything from FWE except the new weapons (However I can live with the changes to unique weapons).

The things like sprinting, bullet time and grenade hotkey are all available as standalone mods, which is cool, but I also want all the rebalancing from fwe of things like combat, stealth, exp gain, skills gained per lvl/int, loot rarity, repair changes, skill book changes etc.

Basically, I want all the things that aren't new weapons.

I believe most if not all of those things can be found as stand alone or at least ones that are quite close to it. I do not know about the combat since I actually like the way vanilla handles it.

I have not used the geck or dabbed in creating a mod but I think it is likely going to be quite a bit of work to do so.

Not sure if this will be what you want ... but you should consider checking out Arwens Realism tweaks.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/7565/?

This is something to use instead of FWE ... chances are your flavor of the wasteland, or close to it , has allready been modded. And like Erz suggests ... you just need to mix and match.

FWE is one core module and Arwens is another. However maybe you don't need either ... just some help on modding a few Items you find important yourself.

Craft and Caliber are there to use without FWE.
