i got brink for ps3 today and when i put it in and i get an error "An error occurred during the start operation (80010017)" plz help i rly wanna start playing

The Playstation Network has been offline for maintenance since April 20, 2011. Today, there was an update on the Playstation Blog stating that the online services for multiplayer ect... would be up in a few more days
for the Playstation Network. You'll just have to wait until later this week or possibly longer until the Playstation Network is back online. You could play the campaign mode while you wait.

No that shouldnt be happening anyways. It sounds like it wont even let him play the single player either. It happened to me before once. I cleaned the disc off and restarted it and it worked. If that doesnt work then your probly SOL.

You have to press circle when it asks you to sign in. At least I think this is your problem.

Nope, he don`t have to press anything. Try to clean the dvd and check your PS3. There could be something wrong with your Blue Ray.
