i'm in the Fort Bulwark to find the shield of the crusader. i'm doing the "wisdom of the ages" quest. the problem is: i cannot find the button (or else) that can activate the gate. it's written: "the gate is opened remotely"
i already explore the basemant of the fort for about 4 times.

This quest has several puzzles. Are you talking about the gate that is behind several step-on floor tiles? The clue to this gate is found in one of the conjurers' notes. It involves taking note of the candles to the sides, and stepping on the right plate in each row...

...Or are we further down? Have you released the prisoner yet? He has clues, too.
