need help timescalle

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:36 pm

Ok i'm confused. how can i slow down time in game? i tried making an esp and went to gamplay>globals>timescale. I changed this to 1 from 30. Yet time is still the same.

i tried the console and (set timescale to 1). this worked. why won't the construction set work? i enabled my esp too so it should have worked why wont it?

i dont want to rely on the console as i want an esp so i can load it if i need it. i make lots of saves and am worried about using the console too often. i ruined my last game that way and need help with the consturctin set.

Look on Tesnexus there are a few that can alter the timescale. I use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24649 - you can turn off the 'sleep' element and it allows you to have different timescales depending on what you are doing (running, walking, sneaking etc)

The time scale options of Real Sleep Extended are also available as a separate mod called Automatic Time Scale. All it does is deal with time so you don't need to worry about it changing any other settings. There's really no point in doing everything yourself when there's already a mod that can do it for you. I'm not sure why your CS change won't work as it always did for me. Of course I wasn't trying for a 1:1 setup but a 15:1 instead, or half speed.

If you changed the timescale through the console and saved, you cannot later use plugins to change the timescale, unless the change is implemented through scripts, apparently. Just overriding the global in a plugin will not work after you have used the console in-game.

hey you got me all wrong, i only have clean saves right now. i experimented with the console and tried timescale and it worked. i did not save it. in fact, i have been making clean saves and did a complete reinstall last week and am starting the whole game over. i also have only 3 mods but none of them are marked as active in-game.

there is something wrong i am sure of it but cant figure it out. again, i did gameplay>globals>timescale. I changed it to 1 (instead of 30). and yet time is not 'real time' like its meant to be. plz help i cant work it out

If you start a new game, and use the console to change the timescale, that does not work?

If you have wrye bash, you can set the timescale from it global setting option when you rebuild your bashed patch.
