need help on which platform to get brink for

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:08 am

I own both a PS3 and xbox 360. Im having a hard time trying to decide which console to get brink for. I know the PS3 is having a lot of problems lately but I been leaning towards it, hoping online will be up before the 10th of may. I have no games really for the PS3 but BRINK would give me a good reason to play it more. On the other hand, The xbox 360 has better voip. I like the controller alittle more. Are more people getting this for PS3 or 360? Advice?

Judging by poll's results, most people are getting it for 360 including myself. If I were you I would do so too :P Join us.

I gave my opinion on another thread like this. My advice is to buy Brink on whichever system you will have more friends to play the game with. If you have no friends that are buying Brink...flip a coin!

360 in my opinion. If u like the controller more and if ur friends are mainly playing 360 then go for it. Also after today sony announcing that hackers could have people's credit cards because of that big hack makes me wanna stay away from the ps3 for a while.

There's your answer.

Or, pick whichever one you have (more) friends to play with on. If you don't have anyone you like to play with regularly and you're interested in playing with someone here, go Xbox 360 because there's more Xbox users here than PS3 users. Oh, and of course the biggest advantage to a 360 is .

If you want graphics, go PS3. If you want multiplayer that is decent, go 360. I have both and will be getting it for the 360 because XBL outweighs better graphics for this game in my opinion.

Honestly, the graphics thing only applies to PS3-exclusive titles. It's generally accepted that the Xbox 360, although the less powerful console, actually looks and runs most multi-platform games (e.g. Call of Duty series) better. Apparently it's due to the PS3 being more difficult for third party developers to program, while the Xbox 360 is much more accessible.

Oh, and the only advantage the Xbox 360 has over the PS3 for multi-player (in my opinion) is the ability to chat across games via party chat. Other than that, PS3 users get to save $60 a year unless they subscribe to PS+ or whatever it's called.

I like being able to watch 3D movies and play 3D games on my PS3 :D
I used to use my 360 (wont get into that) and now I use PS3 and XBL was definitely more polished that the PSN as far as your profile, matchmaking and the VOIP. I don't miss the monthly fees but if youre paying for XBL anyways I'd go for that assuming you have friends to play with.

I find the in general XBL gets updates sooner, whether it be Patches or Content. MS pays the Devs of the games where as Sony does not.

The monthly subscription for XBL is less then a pint at your local pub but I think think the XBL is just a little better, not by alot but worth the $5.

I have most recent games on all 3 platforms but after the money I had to spent to upgrade my PC to play BC2 and my console experience with Homefront and BLOPS, I am now XBOX only unless there is an exclusive I really want for PC or PS3.

XBox will have more people and will be easier to play with friends. But I like PS3 better. And that's what I'm getting it for.

I'd say Xbox if you're already paying for the Xbox Live service... it only makes sense. Don't know too much about PS3, but I understand that it's PSN is not as reliable as Xbox Live. Assuming you're looking to play Brink for the extensive multiplier experience, makes more sense to play it on the device that's better at handling online gameplay, eh? That's my two cents. Besides, Xbox Live is relatively cheap if you look at how much you pay monthly (going off a full year's subscription).

As many people said, it depends on how many friends that you play with are going to buy it. Also if you cant afford xbox live, or is running out in the next month and cant afford this and brink, get it on ps3.

No matter what anyone says it is your opinion. I have a 360, I have played ps3 but don't really like it (all of my friends have one and a 360), but get it for whatever system that your friends are getting it for.

Hmm,

another question. Portal2 was out last week. On the PS3 Version it was delivered with a free Steam Key for PC full version.
Brink also will be out with Steam. Is it possible that we can get a PC Key for Brink if we get the game for PS3?

It is worth $60 a year to make sure hackers don't break into XBL and get my name, address, and possibly credit card info... :whistling:
