So how do I build a radio beacon ?

Power>Miscellaneous>Radio Beacon

Hook it up to a generator and voila.

You'll need to find some complex electronics parts and then just choose it from the menu and drop it.

You go into power options, go to misc "last option" as its then first item under misc.. you need copper steel and other parts to build it..

And just to be basic about it, there are some items that can only be placed on the ground, some only onwalls, some only on ceilings, some only in dirt, some only in water, etc etc...

And how do I get power to my floor lamp? There is no option to attach a wire to it.

Basically, put a Switch on the wall of the house, hook it up to a generator and the whole house should be powered.
