I have set the following:
0 log entry that I have met xxxxxxxxx who wants be to locate his missing daughter.
10 I have found her and must get her home
20 she is home and I get my reward.
Sounds simple but I am rubbish at doing it.
the quest is called "01MesQ01script01"
My script says:

Could someone give me a blow by blow account of how to do this. I have tried following the other in game quests that are similar but I am lost on how to adapt them.
I want to:
Create a rumour that a certain faction will talk about until the quest is finished.
I want one NPC to admit his daughter is missing and he is concerned. He offers the player reward if the player can get her home.
The player must travel over a distance to get to the place she was last seen. When he finds the daughter she will immediately recognise he has been set on the quest as he wears a ring given to him by the father so that daughter will recognise he is there to help.
Daughter will then follow player (and her guards will follow daughter)
When daughter reaches fathers house and enters she immediately runs to father.
Player enters room they are both in and father immediately speaks to player and gives reward.
I can create the objects, NPC's etc but the quest is beyond me.
Once I get this right I can use it as a model for other quests. Its just getting this first one to work.
Lip sync is another story!
