I cannot equip hand weapons like grenades, mines, etc... I can use standard weapons however (guns). I'm on PC using a xbox one controller.

On PC you lay mines and throw nades with the left ALT key. Let's you keep your weapon equipped thank goodness

I use a an Xbox one controller on the PC too. In your inventory, select your grenade. You can also select another weapon.

To use your grenade in combat, hold the (RB) until you hear a click. When you let go, you will throw a grenade or mine. If your character just melees, you haven't equipped a grenade, or you may have run out.

I forget which one, I think it's demolitions expert 2 that shows you the trajectory of the grenade before you throw it. It makes killing with explosives sooooo much better.

Holy fire-lobbing balls. Thanks for that - didn't know and now a whole new world has opened up for me. I have hundreds of Frag grenades that I hated using (aka wasting) up to now.
