Need help with MGEXE

Post » Sun Feb 21, 2016 3:23 am

When I try to add MGEXE to my morrowind installation, it says the application can't run because it is missing the d3dx9_43.dll. If I try adding the missing Dx file to my install, it says The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Morrowind runs fine as long as I don't install MGEXE, I've tried disabling UAC and running both MGE and the launcher in administrator mode, and nothing gets it to work.

Check out the latest http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1586344-shelter-from-magnus-blaze-19-mge-xe/ and post your question in there.

It sounds like you haven't install DirectX 9. http://www.theassimilationlab.com/forums/topic/14138-how-to-installreinstalluninstall-mge/ is a quick guide for MGE and I know it will work for MGE-XE too (not sure how it's for Windows10 since I use Windows7), just replace MGE with MGE-XE.

DirectX 9.0c works on Windows 10, so your guide should also work, Leo.

sigh...

So, I have already downloaded and installed that exact same file from that same link a bajillion times, and gotten the same results, but I figured I'd try it again just to see what happens...

?And that fixed it. Downloaded and installed that file 5 other times with no luck, and now all of a sudden it works. Thanks guys haha, PC mustard race!
