Need Help with Morrowind Comes Alive

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 1:56 pm

Hello everyone, I am trying to play Morrowind for the first time, and planned on installing lots of graphics mods to make it more presentable.

One gameplay mod that I downloaded, Morrowind Comes Alive, is missing a lot of meshes whenever I enable it. That leaves the giant exclamation point on a lot of NPCs and ruins the game so I disable it.

Heres the errors from my warning.txt:

Model Load Error: Meshes\WAR_Fm\WARDEF\WARDEfx7.NIF cannot load file in Meshes\WAR_Fm\WARDEF\WARDEfx7.NIF.Will use the default object Marker_Error.NIF.Model Load Error: Meshes\WARNwHr\Dz\6\WAR_zDE_fHr6b.nif cannot load file in Meshes\WARNwHr\Dz\6\WAR_zDE_fHr6b.nif.Will use the default object Marker_Error.NIF.Model Load Error: Meshes\WARX\D\WAR_BDE_M11.NIF cannot load file in Meshes\WARX\D\WAR_BDE_M11.NIF.Will use the default object Marker_Error.NIF.Model Load Error: Meshes\WARNwHr\Mz\D\WAR_zDE_MHr2b.nif cannot load file in Meshes\WARNwHr\Mz\D\WAR_zDE_MHr2b.nif.Will use the default object Marker_Error.NIF.Model Load Error: Meshes\WARNwHr\Nz\1\WAR_zN_fHr1f.nif cannot load file in Meshes\WARNwHr\Nz\1\WAR_zN_fHr1f.nif.Will use the default object Marker_Error.NIF.

The NPCs actually load but they are surronded by a giant exclamation mark. I would take a screenshot but even enabling the screenshot function in the .INI doesn't work.

Thanks for your help :foodndrink:

You need to download Westly's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6173, did you do that? You do not need to have this mod activated, just the models & textures.

No I have not downloaded that. I will do that later on and post the results. Thanks for the help!

I have another question, not really an error but very annoying. Every time there is a load screen, whether it be entering a building, exiting a building, saving, loading, loading the next area, the screen goes really bright. I dont know if its from a mod I installed but it's very distracting and when I'm exploring Morrowind it kills immersion because I have to see this white load screen flash every 20 seconds.

Do you use any MGE shaders? I've experienced bright flashes when switching cells (exterior/interior) while using HDR shaders, but not when wandering outside.

Are you using MGE? If so, try activating the 'AA color fix' on the 'Render state' tab of MGEgui. Bloom shaders can also cause over blooming if not configured correctly or used with the wrong MGE revision (i.e. shader needs depth info passed).

Yes I am using MGE but the HDR Shaders. Tried to the color fix and it seems to work, thanks!

O
I am getting this error, "Missing Masterfile: Morrowind Comes Alive.esm". I installed with Wryemash and it was working at first so I'm not sure what I did to mess it up. I can see the file in Wryemash and even click it active but still can't get into the game. Any help would be great!

Thanks, Sy
