Need help with Relev/Delev bash tags

Post » Tue Jan 18, 2011 10:18 pm

I humbly request the help of the bash wizards in this forum...

I'm using three different mods to control different aspects of level scaling and I would like to make them all behave well using Wrye Bash.

The mods are http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3964 (Lite Version, basically just changes the leveled lists for loot), http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4905 (to remove creature and NPC scaling) and http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2130 (prevents the infamous "bandits wearing daedric armor at high levels" problem).

My questions are: can I add Relev/Delev tags to these mods? Which ones? Are there any other tags I should use?

Thanks for any help. :)

Try downloading BOSS. It adds appropriate tags to mods already. And the authors of BOSS know what they're doing. I was told that incorrect Bash Tags can actually cause problems with the game.

I already use BOSS. A few months ago, when I played modded Oblivion for the last time, BOSS wouldn't recognize these mods I mentioned and I had to decide where to put them on my load order. Now BOSS recognizes them but do not add any tags. When I rebuild the bashed patch, they're not in the list of mods that change leveled lists (but I can find there Armamentarium and a few others). Therefore, I don't know if they are actually doing something in the game, or if they clash with each other and with other mods...

I don't use any of the mods you mentioned, so I can't say for sure. But, like I said in the other post, the BOSS team are pretty knowledgable about what needs tags and what doesn't. So, if BOSS doesn't add any tags to the mods, then they may not need tags. Maybe.

Add Delev/Relev to both Jarol and G-Loot's - since they both modifies item leveledlist itself.

Add Actors.Stats, Actors.ACBS to Npc Static Lvl - since this changes the npc 's lvls itself and stat's has well, make sure to run update npc lvls on save if using existing character with this..

CorePC knows about Bash Tags. Although he recommends to add tags to his Classy Clothing Compendium, and the BOSS team doesn't. I wonder why that is...

So what are the recommended bash tags for CCC, Malonn/Corepc? *Sorry for hijacking this*

I'm not sure what's best, but I don't use any tags for it, placing my trust in the BOSS team.
