Need Help With the G.E.C.K. FalloutNV!

Post » Sat Aug 06, 2011 7:37 am

I just started to use the G.E.C.K. for the first time today and after screwing up quite a few times i got it to open and started to look through it. But I was directed to Go to FILE>DATA, then click on FALLOUTNV.esm, and click ok to load it. When I do though I recieve errors and warnings, saying it is a higher EXE than this one can load.

What does this mean, and how can I rectify it? I am new to things like this, but am willing to go through the headaches to become as helpful as the rest of will be to me.

You need to update your GECK to v1.4. Here is a thread that contains the link to the download. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1214259-correct-geck-v14-link/

have fun

It is working now. Thank you. I would like to state that the one i had previously had come straight from the G.E.C.K. website. Apparently its not functioning correctly? Whatever it may be i would strongly recommend the link provided CevSteel. ^.^

Thank you for the suggestion. Everything seems to be well thought over and is directing through the process of becoming familiar well. But I seem to have hit another problem. I am told to look for 'Vault 108a' from the Cell View list, but no such name exists in this list. Is this a miscommunication or is there a vault that isn't on my list for FalloutNV?

The tutorial was made for fallout 3, for the most part the GECK's are the same but, you won't be able to follow it to the letter. Use it as a guide, find a similar cell and try to follow the best you can. In the end it will still greatly help.

The youtube video tutorials were also helpful for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2xskfNS8HE&fmt=22

hope this helps
