Note: This topic might contain minior spoilers to Fallout 2 and should not be read ig you haven't finished the game.

I decided to play through Fallout 2 again before the reales of the third game. But unlike last time I can't speak my way to get the FOB key and my lockpiking skill is way to low to pick the lock. So I'm woundering if there is anyother way to get the FOB key or a completely other way to get to the oil rig.

direct force tends to work altho iv never been that far in fallout 2 most problems can be solved with timed explosives or a mini-gun to the face

Get the FOB later on when you do have high enough lockpick skill or speech skill. Or open the door to the office, shoot or punch the Commander in the eyes or (I think it's a woman) scrotch, open the locker to get the FOB and either make a run for it through the north tunnel or shoot your way out of there

You can talk your way into the commanders office. Either as a part of a "Cleaning Crew" (You'll be told to come back later, but if you rest a few hours they'll let you in) or by saying it needs to be moved for securtiy purposes.

Yes yes I know I can talk my way in but my karma and speech is to low. And I also posed as the cleaning crew but my lockpick skill is way way way to low to get the locker open. And I'm already on level 16 so it's going to take forever to get up enough lockpick skills to open up the damn thing.

Well I going to try to find some Mentats and see if I can boost my charma enough to talk them into giving it to me.

You're level 16? Just kill them, there's not much else to do in Navarro anyway, and it will save you the trouble of finding mentats or having to level up

Yeah but the damn BOF key is still locked in the [censored] locker wich I can't get into >.<

Edit: Nwm got it. Had forgoten you could use explosives on lockers too >.<
