Need information [PS3]

L2 does not put me back into first person view. No matter how hard or how many times I mash it.

I absolutely HATE over the shoulder view. The L2 thing is annoying if I want to look at my character or have accidentally pressed it

and must reload my last save to get back into first person view.. GRRRRR!!

How to make money?

I have the megaton house but money is not coming in and I'm having to spend it on expensive stimpacks 35caps each.

That kid from Greyditch roamed from nearly to Megaton and I used up 21 stimpacks doing that quest.

Now Moira wants me to go plant something in a Mirelurk nest without any stealth boy to help me.. Uhm NO...

I want to level up a bit and get some caps so I can at least get all the stuff for my house. I only have the furniture in.

Shame your bed does not improve with that.. whatever..

I expected a better bed ... Not that ratty old musty one.. meh...

Is there some way to remap so that I will not hit the L2 and put myself accidentally in the third person over the shoulder view from hell?

Yeah the one that won't ever go back to the way I want it?

edit

Also what do all these drugs do?

Buffout, Jet, Psyco .. etc? Are there any useful drugs? Should I just keep selling them off? Are they all addictive? I took a couple of mentats and it said I was addicted to them? Uhm what?

xyz20 ap500 rrr20

is not descriptive..

Thanks

In this game, the early levels are defined by what you don't have. Don't worry, you will soon have all the caps you need.

To make money, loot and sell. Your repair skills to make the item more valuable. Cigarettes, Cartons and Pre-WAr money are all light and valuable.

If your using that many stimpacks, then your not using the terrain to your advantage. Near Megaton (on the outside, right near the wall, almost opposite the entrance), there is a hollowed rock (look for the graffiti) it has a sniper rifle. Use that to scope out the path you want to take before you walk down it. The gun is in poor condition, so until you repair it, it won't shoot straight, so your just using it as binoculars. Take care of enemies that you can from a distance before closing in.

Sneak is your Friend. Get good at it.

There are Chems and Meds in the game. If they heal you, then you don't get addicted. Chems, which give you any kind of stat boost, are addictive and you will suffer withdrawals once you are addicted if you don't keep taking them. You can get your addictions removed by a doctor.

Here is a hint on the Meirlucks.

Spoiler
Go kill them all first, then go back and get Moira's quest, then you don't have to sneak to get the best reward as the game only counts the deaths that occur while that stage is active.

Can't help you with the controls, but perhaps you need a different button to go back to first person. You can remap/view the controls in Game Options.
