I need a little help.

Today I was stupid and let my 12 year old sis play on my laptop. I had my Morrowind files open, and she deleted EVERYTHING. Now when I'm trying to install it again, my computer thinks that Morrowind is still installed and the autorun program just says play, not install like it should. Since there is no uninstall file I cant officially uninstall it. Is there anything I can do?

Edit: the launcher has an uninstall command so just use that. back up any saves or mods you have left first if you want to keep them.

Then install.

Remove the program from your computer via the Control Panel, just like you would any other program.

Yes there is. Just download and install these tools form http://www.auslogics.com/en/: http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/emergency-recovery/download/ ,http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/registry-cleaner/download/ and http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag/download/ (freeware)

Install all of them and reboot your PC, but remember to deactive your antivirus program after each reboot sequence before you continue to the next step.

- run emergency recovery, registry cleaner in that order and reboot then prompted
- run disk defrag and reboot your computer
- if possible either install Morrowind and then the installation is finished just reboot or begin to play

I hope this is helping you. Good luck. :)

All you need to do is go into the registry and delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Bethesda Softworks keys (it should have 3, for MW, the CS, and the CS). That will indicate to the system that it's uninstalled.

I think though that MW's installer isn't the most attentive, so if you put in your disc and open it in explorer, just run setup.exe and it should install again without uninstalling. Pretty sure that works, although it only reinstalls to the same folder as before.

@Leonardo2: You definitely don't need a registry cleaner or disk defrag to reinstall a game.
