did you do he mod where you can put any weapon mod on a gun?
New locations>More pointless weapons
The only thing adding another pointless Gun Runners thing will accomplish is people trying out the new weapons for about 5 minutes and then going back to their weapon of choice. That's what many of us did with the Gun Runners BS and it would be no different this time. New locations are what matters the most in Bethesda game and what most of us want and look forward to with dlc.
Hello, welcome to the minority! Most people want things like Point Lookout/Old World Blues, not that Gun Runners BS. You'll get a few more weapons that you'll only use for about 5-10 minutes and everyone else will get actual content.
It's a win win.
EDIT: I also call BS on you putting almost 400 hours and not discovering every location unless you left the game paused over a couple nights.
No reason why they can't do both honestly. Although i'd rather them add more gun types to the leveled lists instead of a shop with a bunch of uniques.
I'd love to see more variety for the gun types. As it stands there isn't a whole lot of choice when it comes to guns.
Going off of the fact that there are far more requests for more factions, locations, ect dlc than there are for more pointless weapons dlc, yes you are in the minority. I never said that was a bad thing, I'm just telling you the way it is.
Having dlc focused on adding only weapons alienates one group of people. Having a dlc that has actual content like Point Lookout, The Pitt, Dead Money, ect. adds new locations, quests and new weapons which satisfies everyone.
Maybe they could just add weapons and armor from Wolfenstein, just re texture it a bit and done.
Huh, fair enough I suppose. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around that since I take my time and I've already discovered most of the locations with under 400 hours of play.
But good on you I guess. Going at a snail's pace is far better than rushing to find everything in 100 hours imho.
Yeah, I've waited along time for this game, especially after replaying FO3 and NV God knows how many times; so I guess I'm trying to savor it, for lack of a better term.
Still want more guns...but good guns that we won't just discard after a few minutes....though.
See, I don't mind new weapons being added. What I am firmly against is the Gun Runners method of adding new weapons where most of them where either useless or just novelty/gimmicky weapons with a few gems sprinkled in here and there.
Adding things like the Chinese Assault Rifle and the Tesla Canon in a new location dlc would be cool. We'd be getting a change in scenery and a new toy to destroy things with
I sell most Legendary and Unique weapons. Have no use for them. Baby, my Assault Rifle uses up well over half the ammo I use and is golden. I have a lot of guns but that one does most of the work.
It's just that 4 in the head is easy, the piece is setup to my requirements and has taken over as my kill machine. It's good from right in front of you to sniper distances, so clearing an area is just an exercise in how fast I can switch targets.
The modders will probably provide more guns than you can load.
Other than that, more guns is the least of my concerns. There are other things in need of being fixed.
The one thing I really miss is a grenade rifle, (nothing quite like lobbing explosive projectiles well beyond throwing distance...you know... to getting things moving ), and a lightweight assault rifle. A stand alone .50 AMR comparable to the Gauss would be nice...oh, and a 1911. None of these are out of line with the franchise, unless for some reason they happen to be banned in the northeast wasteland!
Speak for yourself....I used the DLC weapons extensively in both FO3 and NV, it became a tradition for Boone and my Courier to take down Caesar and his henchmen with a BAR. You sorta have a point with GRA, though....most of the weapons in that didn't really speak to me because you could just buy them.
Police Pistol was best revolver....even if they didn't apply the Cowboy perk to it like they should have.
