So.. What have you done yourself so far? How much are you ready to do in this project? 'Cause no one is going to do your mod unless they themselves have pretty much full authority to decide what's going to happen.

Your project sounds way too ambitious. You should seriously cut your goals and most of all provide necessary information to get at least a small handful of interested people.

Show samples of what you've done also. A large land mass is something people can see and fill in. Show it to folks and give area's to work on. =)

@tbonesoldier20

Maybe it would be helpful to post your first mod in the series to familiarize people with your work so far. It can be found here:

Here is my response due to what I have seen on these forums over the years. If you want help you have to do the following things.

A: Start working on your own. People like to see dedication before helping. Too many "Help me with my mod" posts tend to be pie in the sky projects.

B: Specifics. Ask for help with something specific in the G.E.C.K. forum and see if you can do it yourself. This shows people that they will not have to be tied down to a mod and that you are willing to work.

C: Request for someone to do a specific thing within their experience. Something small which will not take too much time to do.

D: Don't take on a huge project.

E: Once the project is going and people see you are dedicated to actually finishing the mod and have a set design document or timetable, they are more likely to offer help.

I found the one thing i need help with first is setting up the worldspace and it's heightmap i tried to setup the height map on two of the cells in my worldspace yesterday and all this morning but i keep messing up and it looks like crap because my hills are actually mountains instead. the 2d view is definitely not helping. my army vault mod mostly just required creating interior cells, npc's and quests which have done a pretty good job at.

F: In my experience I can't even get people to take 20mins to download and test a Beta version of my assets. If you want something done, you know what you have got to do. < only attempt what you think is possible to complete, unless you don't mind not finishing and enjoyed your time modding all the same.

this community is way too small. there are no modders out there waiting around, they all have their plate full and are neck deep in it. I don't think I have ever seen a request to join a team answered by a good modder with relz. The requests are answered are specific 1 off jobs. like freelance. make a height map request instead of a generic request for super modders to do a zillion different things.

height mapping is a skill not many possess. I know after my experiences with it in oblivion I have avoided it completely in fallout :lol:

of if there is anyone who wants to do a height map for me as well... ?

if only height mapping could be done in a 3d format i could do it easy that way as i woulod be able to get a grasp of how the terrain looks.
