I'm surprised this is the first game to make you question their motives. Have you played command and conquer 3 or 4?

Or perhaps bad company 2?[/quote]

I don't see what's wrong with Bad Company 2? Has always worked fine for me. Never been a fan of command and conquer games. There are a lot of other EA games that have worked fine since release for me. Dragon Age 2 was awesome. Day it was released had a patch for high res textures and game worked flawlessly for me, as it should. Now, I'm not talking about selling out, I don't really care about that. I just care that the game actually WORKS when it is released, the content is more for reviewers to decide.

I guess I'm just falling in a major minority here...I have been able to play MP and SP from day 1...yea...it was a pain finding a server to connect to but I figured out from the 1000+ servers that show up in MP the ones that actually worked..I dont play a lot but Im lvl 12 now...so the lvling up and keeping my ranks & unlocks hasn't tweaked on me...yet...sooo...puts me in an odd position I guess. I really do side with everyone posting about thier problems and yes, the game has it's faults...but at the same time, I used my head and figured out what works. And this is my point: I shouldn't HAVE to think about how to make it work. It should work. Period.
Or mabye I just have a magic setup that works..so here goes guys:
Winx XP SP3 on a Core2 Duo 1.8gHz, 250 gig SATA drive, 3 Gig RAM, Nvidia GTX 460 running off a Leonite (Asus) motherboard. Core machine was an HP Pavilion that I dropped memory and gfx card into.
Oh and I have a crappy 10 down 1 up cable modem connection running off an old Verizon Fios wireless modem that I use as a router between my cable modem and the rest of the devices in the house.
And yea...look at those specs..not godly by any means...and I play at medium setting with no lag, prob cos the gfx card is running it cos god knows that cpu is crap.

Good point! The game works for me too, I was only pissed by the nano catalyst vanish and the hackers in MP, I don't give too much attention to the graphics, because Crysis 1 is the standard game for graphics, Crysis 2 was a Crytek solution for the guys who couldn't afford to pay 2000 USD+ rig, for the game to run at medium settings...

@energycell: well yea..I totally agree with you...I am a graphics geek though..I lugged my tower to the living room and hooked it up to my Panny 50" plasma and I was amazed...way better than my 360...but still...I'm a run n gunner...who cares if I can see every blade of grass moving independently for example..you don't stand around in MP staring at the texture of the bricks on the wall...so I'm with you on the whole "Crytek made it for the masses" line of thinking...

*edit* BUT!!! We also accepted Crysis 1 was amazing and we did expect more..I wanted Crysis 2 make my planned (wish list ha ha!) I7 2600 and GTX 580 scream for mercy and I'm not feeling it with this game....
