Need to Remove Visual Pack TX

Post » Sun Nov 01, 2009 1:06 pm

So I recently started to play morrowind on my laptop and have found it nearly unplayable with visual pack TX-2 due to poor fps. The method given in the readme says that I should copy and paste the files into my textures folder so that they are all highlighted an delete them. That doesn't seem to be working with Vista, however. Does anyone have a good suggestion as to how to remove the files? ie: Not having to remove them one by one or do a complete reinstall?

Remove all of the files in your textures folder that start with tx_. You may want to back them up, as this will also delete any files added by other mods that use the tx_ naming convention.

If you don't have many mods installed I guess it would be the easiest way to delete all textures in the Textures folder except the land_defaul and reinstall your mods. If the Engine don't find the texture in the Textures folder it's use the BSA as source and you have vanilla again.

But like I said, it's only a good idea if you have just a few mods installed...If you have to reinstall 100-150 mods this method won't work.

I remember there was a tool to remove mod related stuff, but I'm not sure.

Edit:

Opps, Mr.Swiveller was faster :foodndrink:
