need savegame viewereditor

I did some stupid experiments with a house mod and now the game crashes when I try to enter it. It's the mod, not the save, and I have this problem even with my untouched backup of the mod, so there's nothing for me to revert to. A simple uninstall and reinstall of the mod will fix it, but I have no way to check what unique and possibly important loot was in all my containers. I need a way to make a list, so I can console it all back onto my character. All that information is in my save, but I don't have anything that can open saves.

Before you suggest it, Wrye Bash has no relevant functions that I can find.

Is there an editor, or at least a viewer, that can look at what's in a save the way various utilities can look at mods, and the way the Enchanted Editor could look at Morrowind saves?

So far as I know, the utility you are looking for does not exist. I don't think anyone has broken down the save game structure for oblivion, like they did for morrowind. Too bad really, it would be an awfully handy tool..... You may just have to go from memory.

Well that svcks. :\ Wrye Bash can do so much with saves that I thought the knowledge was just out there by now. Oh well. Thanks for the reply.

I hope in Skyrim, they go back to saves basically being mods with a different file extension. It was very convenient sometimes.
