Ok, here's the deal. I had been working hard in the CS, and were satisfied with what I had accomlished. Then I pressed save (obviously).. Anyway here's were the trouble starts. Even though I pressed saved before I closed it down, the darn thing still give me a message if I'd like to save on shutdown... but wtf I just saved the darn changes!!! It's a dead end..

I tried to be smart merging it with another small mod, saving it under another name.. though without success.

The other issue is that I can't even find the esp in the data files folder, even though it should be right there! You can choose it in the CS menu, but it's gone when you check the folders..?! :banghead:

I had these issues with my other computer some years ago, never figured out why it behaved that way..

Are you using Windows 7/Vista?

Since you're on Vista, you will want to change the default install location. Check the pinned threads in the Hardware section.

You could also just turn off your User Account Control (UAC)

The first thing I do when I touch a Vista machine is this. UAC is just far more trouble than its worth. By a LOOOONG shot.

Problem solved.. it was the installation of a antivirus (it activated the UAC somehow) that caused the issue.. thanks!
