We need some better Monsters...

Post » Wed Mar 13, 2013 9:29 am

I'm tired of bandits and draugr. Can't we have giant snakes/ and more boss battles? The ebony warrior was a great addition! but everywhere i go its bandits dragr bandits draugr.

I wish we had a slider for changing the difficulty of random encounters. example: one end gives you all bandits and wolves, the other gives you dragons/GIANT trolls/Snakes/ ebony warriors.

Ideas(on what kind of foes you would like)? (ps i cant mod)

Still better than Oblivion. Nothing but bandits wearing full Glass armor.

Yeah, it kind of svcks that they reduced the variety of monsters from Oblivion.

To be fair, that was only at a high level. And there were more varieties of bandits.

I think dragons top anything Oblivion had...but some more wildlife variety is needed.

Dragons are cool in theory, but the fights are repetitive, and more of a annoyance than anything else.

Dragons are really tedious. Worse than Oblivion gates, because they follow you around and slaughter NPCs.
I think a giant snake would be really cool, though. May not be easy for the devs to animate that.

Later in the game yea, but early on I dont think so. Although I play master, so its more intense until I get enchanting up. Honestly I always enjoy them.

Edit: Almost always.

I like dragon fights, they are the most interesting of all. But i want do enjoy using my brain to defeat my opponents. Werewolf/bear attacks need to be higher as well.

I think the wildlife in Skyrim is fitting to the setting. To me, Goblins, Billies and Minotaurs wouldn't feel as fitting in the gritty Skyrim world as they do in some of the others. I much prefer the frost creatures, Falmer, and giants. And of course, Dragons top everything so far. The only things I'd add are some much needed undead variants and maybe a few Cyrodilic monsters in southern Falkreath.

Completely forgot Daedra. More variants of them would be nice.

Ideas? (ps i cant mod)

Are you asking for ideas for what kinds of monsters we would like to see?

Because if that's the case:

1. Expanding the number of Daedra you can encounter
2. Wraiths and Banshees or something similar (Wispmothers are far too infrequent)
3. Falmer and Chaurus outside of their pits/dens at night.
4. I'd personally like more occasions for dragons to try and double team you.
5. Ghosts you can't harm with non-silver/daedric/bound weapons.
6. Wendigos (in the Reach perhaps?)
7. A colony of horrible rat people (I ask for this a lot because of Invader Zim)
8. Sea serpents (possibly a Leviathan?) in the Sea of Ghosts.
9. Sharks in the Sea of Ghosts as well.
10. Non-Draugr zombies and undead

Meh, I really enjoyed your first dragon fight and Whiterun, but after that it gets boring. Until you get to level 30 and start encountering Ancient dragons, which kick your ass, but then you get to level 50 and ancient dragons become no longer a problem.

Yeah I like things a bit more in Skyrim. Bandits wear various pieces of good and bad armor now, so it looks more natural. As for creatures, We have a bigger variety of them in looking back at Oblivion.
