I've been playing Fallout 4 for quite a bit and I've stumbled upon a annoying problem. So let me take it from the start: I went to the Castle because I wanted to capture the base, so I didn't know about the Taking Independence quest. After I beat the queen, I left and did some work on the base later.

After that I did about 10 hours of exploring and got some good stuff. I then saw the Taking Independence quest and talked to Preston about it and said I already cleared it. So it glitched and brought the minuteman to the base and the objective was to clear the courtyard which I already have done so now they are just standing there doing nothing.

If you can tell me how to fix it, thank you very much. I play on Xbox One.

Start killing eggs and any other mirelurks in on or around the castle. You'll know when the mission progresses.

make sure you've broken ALL the eggs theres a couple tricky to find ones so look all over. also if this is complete and you're absolutely sure its clear in and around the castle and it still doesn't work try a hard reset on the xbox console. to do this hold down the power button on the console itself for 5 seconds or until it turns off. then reenter the game. this method has been solving ALOT of bugs and issues so i hope this method works for this bug too. if not sorry but at least i tried.
