Need some help starting a new gameinstalling mods.

Hey folks, I could use some advise!

When I started playing Skyrim on my computer, I bought the legendary edition, installed it, and started playing. Along the way, I added a few mods through the STEAM workshop. Now, I'm finally going to start a new game of Skyrim (Oldrim), and this time around, I'd like to add a few more mods. I'm honestly not exactly sure how to proceed, so I figured I'd ask the experts!

I assume that I want to start a new game, THEN install the new mods? Do I do that before the game even starts, or should I wait until I'm through Helgen? I've heard the opening parts of the game can be glitchy. I'd like to just keep using the workshop for installation, since it's so simple.

Right now, I've only got a few mods installed, my load order looks like this:

Dawnguard.esm

Dragonborn.esm

Hearthfire.esm

Purewaters

Betterembers

Detailed Cities

Immersive saturatuion boost

Smelting plus

The mods I want to add are:

SKSE

USLEEP

Sky UI

When Vampires attack

Run for your lives

The Paarthurnax dilemma

Marriable Serana

What I'm not sure about, is on the page for the Legendary edition patch it shows the installation requirements as this:

Official Skyrim patch 1.9.32.0.8 or greater.

Official Dawnguard DLC.

Official Hearthfire DLC.

Official Dragonborn DLC.

After installing the mods, the following general load order needs to be followed:

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Dawnguard.esm

Hearthfires.esm

Dragonborn.esm

Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp

[Your other ESM files]

HighResTexturePack01.esp

HighResTexturePack02.esp

HighResTexturePack03.esp

Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp

[The rest of your mods]

When I open my game through STEAM, I don't see a Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, or an official patch file. Does that mean I don't have them, or that they just don't show up in the list? How can I tell if I have the 1.9+ patch?

I'm also wondering if I need to get the high resolution texture packs? My poor old computer is only managing 30-40ish fps with what I have installed now. I don't know if it can handle more graphics.

After all that, where in the order do I want to drop all these mods? I'm guessing that I'd put USLEEP right after Dragonborn, then add SKSE and Sky UI, then the rest of the list?

Sheesh, you experienced people make this look so simple! :unsure2:

Thanks for any help!!!
