Alright, don't flame me as I haven't posted in Morrowind Mods forums in YEARS.

Just installed Morrowind yesterday for the first time in so long. I was wondering about a few mods.

I'm looking for something that adds very detailed and gritty sort of textures to everything. And also one that adds a lot more trees and stuff to make it more condensed and realistic.

One more thing, what are some very good clothing and armor mods for Better Bodies?

Does your RP/Character have a certain type/style? Are you playing
a male or female character (as the latter have more options, but there
is a fair amount for the former)?

For trees I might reccommend Vality7's mods (for the Bitter Coast and Ascadian Isles); available at PES

If you like grass, then there is a mod that adds it as well (again, Vality7 has a version of this)

Vurt's Ash Tree replacer springs to mind as well (a search of the forum here should bring
it up).

I find the texture replacer "http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=422" very gritty looking, which is why I'm not particularly fond of it, but if that's what you are looking for, then it might suit you.

I suggest trying the new version of Wrye Mash, if you haven't already got it. It has an "Installers" feature that is great for installing all kinds of mods, but especially texture replacers, if you don't like it, you can easily uninstall it.

I made a female Nord character with my own custom "Battlemaiden" class. Sort of a Norse type character. Blunt weps and Axes, Heavy, Medium armor, and speechcraft and mercantile skills.

Looking for a sort of Vikingish look maybe?

Oh oh! One more thing, is there a mod that puts your shield on your back instead of just making is disappear when sheathed?

Not a Shield mod (that I know of) but there is a mod called Weapon Sheathes Ultimate
that allows for most stock/vanilla weapons to be worn visibly on your back or at your side
(depending on the type). It sacrifices the shirt slot when the items are sheathed(I think)
so if your character wears armour all the time, then it should be no real issue ). It can
also be found at PES :nod: .

A large number of the BB items that I have made are in the medium armour variety,
so you could check those out (if you feel so inclined). There are tonnes of BB clothing
that I could reccommend, but less armour comes to mind (especially with a medium rating).
