We need spellmaking in Skyrim

Pick 1 spell effect from around the side of the screen, say fire and a fire icon appears around a cauldron/flask/crystal ball/frog . Pick another effect, say burden and a burden icon appears around the cauldron, next to the fire perhaps, or below or... Doesn't matter.

Beside each icon there is a vertical slider, this changes the base magnitude, the brightness of the icon changes wrt the slider.

Optionally the base duration of the effect could be selected by a horizontal slider below the icon. Maybe the icon gets fatter

The cost in gold and base mana is shown on the side of the cauldron.

best I can do at such short notice.

Good idea. When I think of non spreadsheet I always think live, while playing the game. I forget that no matter how pretty you make the skill page, it is still a spreadsheet, just not as functional :P

Snip

Couldn't you just put Burden 2 in your left hand and Fire 1 in your right? If the spells are seperate from each other and get combined after they are cast (via combining both spells) then wouldn't it just stack the effect of Burden 2 onto the effect of Fire 1? I apologize if I am mistaken on what you mean (although from your post it sounds like you aren't coming back here anyways). And with actual spellmaking (Oblivion Mage Guild, opens a menu type of thing) then you would get a new spell that already has both the effects. From there (using your example) you could combine it with another fire spell, another burden spell, or even another "Furden" as you said. As they would still cost the same to cast the damage could just be calculated independantly.

Closed for clean up or possible leaving locked.

Folks, don't insult one another, don't call anyone a troll and don't flamebait. It generally results in threads being closed, warnings being given including suspensions and very grumpy moderators.

After reviewing the last few pages of this thread, it's a hopeless cause.

Too much to edit out without having a picnic.
