Need time consumers

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:41 am

So my exams just finished and i've got nothing to do for a week until my courses start again. Sadly i have no clue what to do... After i heard that Skyrim was coming out all i did was look around every fansite i could find to get some extra info about the game. I'm pretty sure i've read all the info there is so far so now i got nothing to do...

Normally i game a lot, but since my computer crashed (because of my bro and his 'dirty' movies) i can't really play anything big (i'm on my laptop you see). Other than that i can't find any games to occupy me when i have nothing to do.

Does anyone know any good long mmorpg/rpg or anything else that's fun an consumes a lot of time?

Well, i've been playing the 10 day trial for a while. It was fun at the start, but now i gotta find my own quests, and since i don't understand how that crappy ass map works i keep getting lost lol. I'll check out gothic 3 though.

And i'll tell my bro... You wouldn't believe how big he [censored] up lol. In one week's time he ruined both his and my computer O.O

I'm playing a heavily modded Morrowind.

Having been out of MW for a few years, it feels (and looks) like a completely new game :)

They're fun for a while, but after you've played one for 6 hours you're bored of them since they're all the same.

I still got 8-9 months to wait for Skyrim, so i'll need something bigger :P.

I second this. I would also play Gothic 1 and 2 if you don't mind the outdated graphics.

Monkey Island 1 and 2 are cheap on Steam, and are HD remakes of the originals. Great games, with attractive visuals, that play nice with laptops.

If you want to get into a book, as someone above suggested, try Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. It's part one of his new 10-part series, and is a massive thousand-page long tome of a book. Not only will take a lot of time to get through, but it's an amazing story with some of the best reviews a fantasy novel has received in a very long time.

Otherwise, if you really can't put aside your excitement for TES, Morrowind GOTY is going very cheap these days. A friend of mine recently started a new Morrowind character and traveled straight to Solstheim. Scratched his itch for Skyrim, and gave him a challenging Morrowind playthrough.
