Need tips on Khajiit face gen...

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 9:45 pm

Starting a new PC as a Khajiit and need some tips on making her look more cat-like without resorting to mods. Even though I have had this game for years, I still cannot get my PC's to look the way I want them. I usually just do a random and that's it. But, in this case, I am making a female Khajiit. She is going to play a vampire-hunter type class. Just looking for some tips on how to make her look more like a huntress than a lion...if you get my meaning.

Thanks,
Raed

Play around with the sliders, even putting them to extremes to see the different looks. I've only ever had one khajiit, but she was pretty average looking, not really how you described.

I think it can take a lot of patience before you get a 'look' you like. I like to press the 'randomise' button until I get a face-style I want, and use that as a base and change things ever so slightly until it's perfect.

Sounds a lot like my character. Unfortunately I can't give you any face gen tips. I usually use the randomize button too.

Aravi looks awesome, though, considering the randomized factor.

I usually find a picture of somebody, usually a celebrity. With Lady Saga i used a pic of Taylor Swift, for instance. Renee Gade, I used a pic of Xena. No, they don't look like Taylor Swift and Xena, but my point is I at least tried to aim for these looks.

Since you're trying to make a cat-person, you might be able to literally just use a pic of a housecat or a lion if you wanna try this.

If you don't wanna try this, you can always do what Mara above me suggests; play with sliders. That's how I got Ann Thraxx (in my profile pic), I just kept messing with sliders. I had a picture of some female tennis player (because she wouldn't be wearing makeup) but that wasn't working, so I just used the sliders.

I found keeping a short stub nose on the khajiit helps against that bulbous snout thing that happens to most of them. I had good luck with darker complexions keeping the sickly green tint out as well. YMMV though.

Yes, that's what I did too. Seems I just have to play around and get what I want. I did find a little guide on what each slider did. That helped a lot. I'll post the link later today when i get home from work.

Thanks for all of your feedback.

^That's cool, post a pic if you can, Raedwald.

True. Cats usually have short noses.

Well...Here is a screenshot of her. She is a custom class Vampire Hunter. If you think she can be improved in any way, I am open to suggestions.

Possibly looking at my ugly mug...heh Honestly, that's how she looks. Seems maybe her eyes are a little too big?

Her eyes look sad - because of a downward slope toward the outer corners. This is aggravated by the similar line of her hair. You might consider trying to lift the outer corners of her eyes and/or a hairstyle where the front follows a different line. She looks quite nice though and good luck!

I'd consider changing the eyes a little. She looks pretty though. http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/3371/oblivion201107111236043.jpg She's got the big snout thing going on though. When I come back to Oblivion that's probably going to go.

That's not that big actually. I've made a lot of khajiit and seen much bigger. I just don't like how a lot of mine ended up with really wide sniffers. The length doesn't bother me that much. Vampirism aggravates the problem. The face ends up all http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a160/MrDarkSim/tes4/52c47231.jpg. The only luck I had was giving a super short http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a160/MrDarkSim/tes4/91703.jpg

Housecats yes, but not lions and I think that′s what they were going for in TES.

She is, but I can′t see what fort it is.

That's what they were going for in Oblivion. I much prefer the Khajiit look in Skyrim.

I'm not as sure as I was but I think it is Fort Alessia.

Thanks! :D

My khajiit was a vampire hunter before she left for Skyrim. Glad another has stepped up to take over.

I had this large quest mod that really expanded the Order of Virtuous Blood and it had some fun quests. I don't remember what it was called anymore but you should try it if you ever find something like that.

Yes, I use that one. Enjoy it a lot. It's called Vampire Hunter:Order of the Virtuous Blood.
