I Need Your Help...

Post » Mon Dec 01, 2014 10:37 pm

Hello I am a fellow player of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and I am really stuck. I have been fruitlessly trying to complete The Break Of Dawn quest, but its impossible to me to finally kill Malkoran. I have died a huge number of times, not just because of the annoying henchmen set up to protect him, but on occasions he casts a spell on me that completely wipes me out instantly! I have looked for controller cheats and even tried looking up if its possible to open up a console on my PS3 for Skyrim, but nothing has come up. I recognize that there is Downloadable Content but have not tried looking at it. If there is anything on it that I could temporarily use to help me, something like a really good spell, a good weapon or armor or ill even try god mode if there is even such a thing for the console version, then please notify me as soon as you possibly can. This is for any gamer pros or Bethesda staff that would care to help me. Thank you.

I'm going to assume it's his frost storm spell, as that's the spell he usually wipes me out with if I'm not careful :P You cannot take cover from it since it goes through walls, so it's best to stock up on strong resist frost/magic potions, and don't run in there like Rambo.

If you use a bow, then try getting the first hit on him with a paralyze poison, then take out his minions. Having Followers will help out here as well.

I wouldn't recommend doing this quest at a low level either, but hey, anything's possible.

If you are having that much difficulty with him, just turn the difficulty all the way down and beat him, then turn it back up where you had it.

As you are near Solitude, you can hire Belrand. Then buy a Frost resist item from R.R. and maybe some potions from the Alchemy shop. I've never dropped the difficulty lvl, but that would work also.

I usually sneak attack him with my bow. Dies within a few shots.

You could be just under leveled maybe tacticly retreat and come back at a much higher level sure you can turn down the difficulty but that just makes the experiance cheaper.

First off, welcome to the forums! Here's a fish stick http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg

What I would recommend, is to stay in the staircase area and try to dodge the Ice storms until he runs out of magicka, then go in for the kill as fast a possible. But be careful because when he dies, he has a powerful shade to attack posthumously.

Thank you everybody for your contributions, and to those who recommended that I change my difficulty. Now I may Spelunk in peace :)
