what does look better?

http://abload.de/img/1u4o80.jpg

what should I keep? ^^ is it even possible to wear the light one when exploring the 'hard' south of the map?

or is it necessary to have good armor, when you're playing on survival there?

thanks ^_^

also feel free to post screens from the armor you use, if you want to :D

Heavy. Be dangerous because you're smart enough to be protected. Let the lunatics flaunt their vulnerabilities.

Well, I think the Heavy armor looks better.

More Mad Max Villain, less post apocalyptic Village Person.

But I tend to prefer the esthetics and function both of the heavier armors.

Gives the feel of power and survivability without lugging around a bazillion pounds of Power Armor.

I actually like both of them visually ^^ the heavy version might just look a bit like it would be way harder to actually run around in it in real life :D

also... is there any difference when sneaking? or a difference in the walking speed?

I remember that being the case in F:NV, that you moved a tiny bit slower, when wearing medium or heavy armor ^^

There is supposed to be a Correlation between Weight and Stealth. So Light Armor is stealthier than Heavy Armor. Then there is the Aesthetics appeal of the Armor. IMO Sturdy Synth Torso Armor looks better than the Light and Heavy versions.

If you are talking about The Glowing Sea, then there are 5 choices, a hazmat suit, Power Armor, RadAway and Rad-X, tgm, and Mysterious Serum. With the hazmat suit and Power Armor, it doesn't matter what Armor you choose. Of course, you might want to use a Gas Mask or some other similar radiation protection.

Just go naked in the Glowing Sea and let the Atom flow through you. May the Atom be with you.

As for which one to wear just pick the one you like more.

Heavy armor makes you significantly more detectable. I'm not sure if it affects movement speed.

Power armor reduces my movement speed so much that I've reconsidered wearing it at all, I just move like a snail in sneaking mode, as I play stealth. Only in the Glowing Sea I will take it, but from now on, goodbye X-01 MkII. I'll miss the targeting helmet though, now I gotta spam Q to look for hidden enemies.

yeah... I've just tried the heavy armor out and it's way too noisy :D

you get spotted way faster... but the damage resistance also makes a huge difference

I think I'll stick with the light version and even make it shadowed :]

but visually I start to like the heavy version more :(

I tend to prefer the middle ground and usually go with Sturdy Combat Armor. It has greater damage resistance than the light Combat Armor, but it doesn't take up as much of my carry weight as the Heavy Combat Armor. Personally I think the Sturdy Combat Armor looks better than the Heavy variant too.

As far as just the appearances of your two different armors here go, I prefer the heavy.
