Yes, it's like a separate game. It is installed in a separated directory and import some files from Oblivion folder. To play it, there's a separate launcher.

EDIT: You'll need 2-2.5Gb for everything

EDIT2: I was wrong! My Nehrim folder is about 5Gb!!!

Many mods (especially those mods who change the world, add quests, NPC or companions) will not be compatible with Nehrim.

Some mods are build to work with Nehrim only, some mods have alternative versions for Nehrim, and some mods can work with Nehrim by changing the master from Oblivion.esm to Nehrim.esm. There was a thread on this forum for mods compatible with Nehrim, you should look at it.

NOTE: You can't transfer your savegames to Oblivion to Nehrim and viceversa
