Awesome sauce. I see flying ships! I See FLYING SHIPS!!!! I CAN SEEE FLYING SHIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow this will be amazing if the world is full of airships and things.... I always used to fly my character far into the sky and look around imaging hundreds of airships around the place, kinda like skies of arcadia.
This will be seriously epic if the world of nehrim is full of that. Seriously. Wow.

EDIT: Sorry but I have to ask, are there going to by airships? Is the idea that we'll be able to walk around and as we look to the skies we'll see NPCs piloting their ships through the sky? Are you hoping to have big fights on airships and things? What exactly is the direction with these things, do you know yet? Or do I have it all completely wrong... lol.
Thanks f you answer, this has just gotten me really pumped... :D

The airship is built by the Star People, whom the humans simply call the dwarves. But there won't be any fights between ships, as there is only one, which the Star People use to return to their origin - the stars, as you can think ;)

Aww and there was me imaging looking to the sky to see ships flying about going their daily business lol. But still, wow. Awesome! Thanks for the reply :D
Also, just to let everyone know, there is both good and (kinda) bad news to do with the project, which I just read from their main page... and may aswell share.
First, the good news.

BananaSplit has joined their modding team! This is the guy who made all of the better cities mods.... so you really know they have a quality guy with them!!
And then the bad news is that it doesnt look like it will be out this year, but - hey, that was kinda expected anyway.

Yeah I would expect the release date to be around this time next year. They have an entire year of subbing/dubbing to do, as well as bug fixing, adding more quests, and finishing up the main quest.
Everything else in production looks solid, though. Unless i'm mistaken?

In other news, they now have a myspace which has exclusive pictures of the project, a new Nehrim desktop was released, and progress in the main quest has gone foward much faster than expected.

Good luck Nehrim team!!!

The mod is making good progress. The main quest will be completely implemented soon, and the (German) dubbing will begin at the beginning of 2009. Release will be in this year for sure ;)

Incredibly... simply incredibly.

When this gets released, I will be forced to go out and buy a working copy of Oblivion.
Really amazing, I can't wait for this.

HOLY CRAP How did it take me so long to find this video?

Wow, just wow. Can't wait!!!!

Also, its very good to see that you guys are inco-orperating other mods into your development (such as the water animations along that shoreline). That was something I was wondering if you were going to do, and since you are - I guess it will look tonnes better for it!

Just wow, nice one guys. Brilliant.

Wow! This looks absolutely and completely awesome. I've hardly played the game lately (needed the time to make mods), but this will change when Nehrim comes out.
I am very very proud that some of my humble resources have found their place in Nehrim... I could not believe my eyes when I saw the cathedral meshes - I was desperately waiting to see it in a mod. And now in one of my favourites... I'm really honored!

edit: perhaps you'd want to talk to InsanitySorrow about using our http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/9104/heavyarmorpe3.jpg... if you are interested of course.

Just to let everyone know.
There is FINALLY an English Translation for Arktwend!
http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=938428
Golden Thief has done a great job on the translation so far so dust off those Morrowind disks and this should hold you over till Nehrim is done.

:intergalactic:

Just a few hours in Arktwend has made me even MORE excited about what those GENIUS "Volksmodders" have in store for us with Nehrim.
I cant wait.
Well...Back to Arktwend!

Does anyone know why I keep getting an 'expression error, Unable to find cell id vivec, arena in script brerasScript' error box every time I click on a NEW game in the English translation of Arktwend?

I've followed the instructions. I take it you need Tribunal and Bloodmoon to play?

You probably want to post in the Morrowind Arktwend thread but, I would be willing to bet you missed a step in the instructions.{I did when I first installed}
You need ONLY the english translation Arktwend ESM {I think the latest is 1.7A} and then the patch esp he just released, clicked in your launcher.
That means ONLY those as this is a TOTAL conversion you do NOT need the Morrowind esm's Bloodmoon or whatever else.
JUST the Arktend ones!
You do need Bloodmoon and Tribunal {as the conversion uses some elements from them} but you DO NOT engage their ESM's or ESP's or any other mods you have in the data folder.
Texture replacers that do not require an esp are ok!
In fact Arktwend has several mods incorporated into itself including "Better Bodies" I believe.
Good Luck!
And stock up on everything you come across because this is Not as easy as Morrowind.
The battles you have are numerous and EPIC!

Also in the Thread in the Morrowind forum the new updates and patches are released and if you report any bugs Golden Thief will squash em in his updates.
See you there. :toughninja:
