Neighbor's dog keeps barking

If the dog is too much of a nuisance, you can report your neighbors to the local authorities for not making the dog pipe down.

Well, if the neighbor is aware, and does not care about it bothering other people, I think the only option here is to actually call a higher power to deal with the situation.

Best plan with there.

Otherwise you'll just make some tabloid news about a silly dispute gone wrong...might air on Fox though! ;)

or

Play some loud opera every time their dog is out...or...get the whole neighborhood in on it, so when the dog barks, evryone blares the opera...or drives over with their cars and honks relentlessly so they get the message....

Of course it could easily backfire as it will show that they are in power and you're reacting to them...

Not necessary. He has the Confirmed Bachelor perk and the father of the neighboring family wears ascots and tight pink shirts. That unlocks a special Speech option. ;)

They'd kill the dog and then [censored] and crucify the owners.

Depends on the owners.
Most likely they would enslave them, especially the kids who would then become legionaires. Maybe keep the dog for breeding. Unless Vulpes Inculta wants a new hat.

I thought your answer would be something like "Axe to the face" or something.

Hang your head in shame, Hellmouth.

Give the dog some peanut butter. Lots and lots of it. Or taffy! Yeah! A big ol' wad o' taffy.

When I am in dillemmas like this, I think What would Caesar's Legions do?

 I don't know, crusifying the dog and it's owners on their yard while setting their apartment on fire might draw a bit too much attention...

I have this neighbor next door who's dog keeps barking whenever a noise is made in the house or someone goes out to the backyard. The owner does not care one bit that it is disturbing others.

I was wondering if any of you could give me some ideas on how to quell this little mutt without calling the city or authorities.I'll use that as a last resort, but I'm curious if there are other ways.

I have the same problem, you just have to get used to it. After a couple years you will.....

Calling the police seems a little extreme, perhaps the council authorities would be a better choice. Unless the dog is stealing things from your property or cooking meth or conducting tax fraud I doubt the police would be interested.

Of course, you could always frame the dog for the murder of its owners...

I have a noisy dog myself. So Ill give you the other side of the fence. I love Rocky dearly, my chocolate lab. However he is just very loud and onery. He is properly trained and well taken care of, its just the dog he is. Suggest that the owner go outside with the dog, because that makes Rocky a little quieter. It is embarrassing to have the bad dog on the block, but I love him dearly.

Or, you know, talk to your neighbours. Be polite, if that doesn't work, drop the polite and tell to get their damn dog under control. I don't see how a letter will help if talking doesn't.

My dog barks a lot as well, but at least she shuts up if we tell her to, it annoys the hell out of me and I can't see how it doesn't annoy your beighbour if he isn't deaf.

A formal letter explaining the exact complaint, with reference to the law/bylaw in your area, and saying that you plan to contact the authorities is a good way to show a judge or tribunal that you've made a reasonable attempt to resolve the situation if it gets that far.

There are enough illegal suggestions about how to deal with the dog to warrant a close.

I would put the dog in my backyard and see how they liked it barking all the time. :)
