Nellis Convention

James Turner - The Kings

* Turner angrily tosses his cigarette as he turns his attention to the Courier.

"Now hold on just a [censored] second! Freeside is Kings' turf, you expect us to just step aside while those putzes waltz on in? No. I'm not having that. The Kings may not be as wealthy as the goodfellas over there, but we're standing our ground now. Any act of expansion by the Omerta's into Freeside is an act of war, full stop."

OOC: Enough. The violence threats are completely worthless and are not adding to this convention at all.

It appears that weapons shipment is going to come in handy after all. Your little gang needs to learn that it doesn't "own" Freeside.

Before we waste you into tiny, tiny bits, let us remind you of our massive bomber, large artillery battery and many, many explosives. Do you really want to risk an attack on such a heavily armed and potentially useful force. The only reason your still alive is these talks are for peace. Now then, What about are explosives? We also are facing a shortage of medical supplies. Also I believe any talk of trying NCR fugitives should be talked with the NCR ambassador. IF he ever gets here.

Jacobstown - Neil

*Neil sighs*

"As I said before, why would we have any reason to trust you? And we at Jacobstown value our friends over any amount of money you are willing to give us. End of discussion. Henry will not be given to you under any circumstances as long as Jacobstown exists."
President Sutler

"Money? We are not so crude as to trade in mainland currency, we trade in military favours... but I see it is a hopeless cause; I hope sincerely that Dr Henry finds little solace in his remaining days on this Earth."

I am on the Omerta's side in this conflict, as I must now take care of them, as House did, but I don't expect the Omertas to interfere with your "turf". Do the Garrets interfere with you? No... And I don't expect the Omertas to, either.

With the removal of House, Legion, and NCR from Vegas, we are in a delicate state, somewhat, and cannot afford war.

Military Favours? Could we possibly come up with a trading partnership for any extra grenades or missiles?

So says the Boss. Now perhaps we can come to some agreement? I don't think we need to waste time on a petty street war now do we?

OOC: "Tension" doesn't have to mean constant threats to gut each other. There is already tension between the different factions, and threats of violence are kind of unnecessary imo.

OOC: Whats the fun of role-playing diplomacy without tension?

OOC: Because I'm beginning to see ridiculous proportions, and that kind of stuff turns to people acting much more OP than they really are, which Isn't fun at all to deal with.

"Oh so I was just hearing things when your boy over there talked about "expanding the Strip" yeah? Don't piss on me and tell me it's raining son, I know what's going on."

You have a right to be frustrated with that statement, but let's compare Freeside to the Strip, shall we? The Strip is showed in money, cleanliness, and wealth, with a minimal amount of crime, and lots of room for rebuilding the world.

Freeside is dealing with the remainder of the NCR squatters, disease, violence, and gangs that are un-civilized. I don't mean yours of course. I always find a place for the Kings in the way I work.

So, what's wrong with the expansion of the Strip somehow? Vegas was all one city at one point, you do realize.

It seems the NCR ambassador has no intrest in showing up. And Ulysseus, keep pointing that at me and we will have a problem.

Imam the 2nd- The Khans

"I don't know if the Kings swing this way, but the Khans would be willing to provide drugs, and even some commodities known only to our great empire to the Kings. Perhaps the income from these goods could keep the Kings afloat and able to fund themselves in case the Omertas show, erm, hostile intentions?"

*Turning to the Don*

"Of course you would never do that would you?"

One can never be too careful. I've dealt with your people before.

No offense, of course. You are a lot easier to deal with than Caesar was.

That's why he's dead and you're not.

OOC: You shouldn't know his name, unless there's a specific roleplay reason that you do.

Arclight808 - Chief of Operations, Group of Studies and Observations, Crimson Caravan Eastern Division

Since we really have no NCR ambassador, there's not a whole lot of issues I can discuss as the Crimson Caravan delegate. Our continued engagement in the Mojave rests mostly upon whether the NCR recognizes New Vegas as an independant entity. If New Vegas is considered 'hostile', our hands our essentially tied, as we will not violate any sanctions, present or future that the NCR senate may pass. But if we are allowed to continue our operations in the Mojave legally under NCR law, I have a few questions for the ambassador from New Vegas. Of deep concern to us, and most people in the NCR is the security situation in the Mojave. Our troops first entered the Mojave over thirty years ago to punish raiders who were striking across the border, and since the NCR withdrawal from the region, the shareholders have gotten a tad bit antsy about whether our caravans will be able to operate despite higher security costs and casualties. We would like the ambassador from New Vegas to shed some light on the situation.
