Nerevarine, Raven Rock and Thirsk

Is the Nerevarine the factor of Raven Rock? And is he the chieftain of Thirsk? I think he both is, but that's my opinion.:)

The Nerevarine has no official race, gender, nor third-party (non-main quest) affiliations, but I would assume that The Nerevarine would have been involved in both of them.

It is heavily implied that the nerevarine was part of the events that occurred in Thirsk, ala the journal found in Oblivion at Dive Rock with the Uderfrykte Matron.

However, from this journal, we can see that Chiefdom was revoked from the nerevarine later, as (s)he went to go on more adventures and never came back. As such, Agnar the Unwavering became the new chieftain and married Svenja Snow-Song, who was a NPC in Thirsk.

As for Raven Rock, I dunno.

I know some of the guys from Raven Rock live in the Waterfront now, but I'm not sure if they say anything about the Nerevarine. Maybe someone can review their dialogue?

I don't remember the dialogue about Raven Rock, but I think I once heard that the Raven Rock colony failed in the end. I'll have to keep an ear open around the waterfront NPCs.

I think they live in the shack the thieves guild meets behind. The one with no apparent ownership in vanilla? Or one on the same 'street' as it. I'll take a look in a little while, since I'm going to be playing instead of modding tonight.

skipped the whole playing the game thing and loaded up my file-o-dialog.

I singed on for the Raven Rock colony. Went there as a builder. Hung around afterwards, but the money ran out.

I helped build Raven Rock. Had a bad run-in with teh law, so here I am. Pretty soon I'll head out for the Imperial Reserve, try my luck there.

only two references to Raven Rock in all of the game. Nerevarine not mentioned, although it seems the town was completed and then abandoned due to financial reasons.

The hero of the game doesn't do every quest: however every quest is completed by some mysterious figure. One of the problems with Oblivion is that, since you were in control of the guild everywhere and not just regionally (like it had been it the other games) all the guilds must have been terrible record keepers. The book covers this up thugh

While this is true, the Thirsk Connection is in the game. We have tried, and failed, to establish a Connection between the Nerevarine and Raven Rock, through evidence presented to us in Oblivion.

I would say that as a rule, it's intentionally left ambiguous whether the Nerevarine did all quests not related to the Nerevarine prophecies (i.e., all quests not part of the original main quest, and presumably Tribunal as well since it is necessary for one to be the Nerevarine for its story to work.) so that players can decide for themselves based on whether they did it in their game. So maybe the Nerevarine took one of those positions or the other, or maybe not, it's all a matter of choice, I think that's what we should conclude.

And I agree with this completely, save one thing. If evidence that the (Hero) played a role in any side quest is presented In official content, that does cannonize the event, at least until it is retconned. It is up to the writers of the lore to ensure that the (Hero)'s Gender/Class/Race/Birthsign is left unknown, for the sake of the players.

Again, this is just my Opinion, and is in no way the right or wrong answer. I post it only for the sake of debate, as well as defining my logic.
