Oh, so people are complaining about optional solo content? Ugh, okay people... Shut up.

Nothing in the current game disallows that. The game having a few things that need to be solo'd doesn't take away the multiplayer aspects of the rest of the game.

Ya, only people that had trouble were blah blah blah. Check your ego at the door, gutripper was 10X harder then any mob the player had to face before. It needed a nerf at that low level where people were still learning the game. Not everyone will have 5 betas under their belt when the game goes live.

No. ESO will lose subscribers if they don't allow us to remain grouped. That "optional" solo-only content is part of a well-established and popular TES overall story.

I don't want to be shut out of such content, but so long as solo-only play is forced, I'll forego it, on principle alone. I don't care if I came back at Level 50 and could one-shot kill the boss within. So long as I'm forced into solo-only play, I will not engage in a partiular dungeon and will work to get such things overturned.

This is your opinion and I respect that but they are trying to appease both the Elder Scrolls crowd, which is primarily single player content RPG and the MMO crowd which is by it's name multiplayer. I think it's a good idea and you can play however you want, with a group, solo, whatever. I do not see anything in this being really forced, well except the main story line.

Lets just say I feel a bit disappoint they add some solo only quest for no apparent reason. Not to mention some of the weird phasing / objective decision for quest.

ESO may lose subscribers for any number of reasons, but no one will quit because there's a quest they have to do solo. If they quit over something so mundane, they would quit over any other number of things. They cannot cater to every whim out there.

I liked the challenge those bosses gave me, it actually felt like I had achieved something in the game rather than it being handed to me like all the other MMO's out there when facing the solo boss mobs.

Did them twice so far once as a mage with a two handed sword and once as a nightblade with dual daggers. Fairly easy if you ask me, honestly don't see how people could not complete them.

Understand the attempted appeal to the single-player TES crowd, but what I'm offering is a compromise:

Enable grouped play within current solo-only dungeons, but the developers can maintain a sense of fairness by increasing the HP of the boss and mobs within based on the number of grouped players. The dungeons are instanced anyway, so writing such an algorithm would be straightforward.

Bosses were made to be difficult. Like I mentioned in the "frustrating solo dungeons" thread yeah Gutsripper was frustrating when I finally came back at the right level and beat him it felt good.

See what I wrote above, which addresses your observation.

I'm disappointed to be honest.

I had tons of problems with the first fighter's guild boss, but that was due to my build. I was hoping to work towards the challenge of beating her.

I personally thought the difficulty was fine on the bosses, but I think they should give us the choice to go into those instances with a group or solo. That way, the solo players can go in alone and have a nice challenge while the players that need some help can grab a group and defeat the content as well.

It makes everyone happy doing this.

I can agree with that, make it flexible where you can group it if you want... that's fair to the group players and also fair to solo players.

Agreed. Once I realized I can't just walk in and press a few buttons on the bosses I smartened up and thought about it. Personally I thought Gutsripper was one of the easier bosses. I simply just kiting her around the platforms and kept knocking her down while I had my Clanfear pet out bashing on it. I just kept re-casting my pet and eventually Gutsripper went down.

Of course, they would also demand loot differences, more mechanics, etc. Retooling an instance for group content isn't as easy as adding more HP.

Doshia and Gutsripper are jokes anyway, they're not even real bosses, they're just stronger versions of regular enemies.

Just wait until you see the real bosses.

I fought Gutstripper on a level 6 Dragonknight over the weekend. Only melee skills, no self heals, etc.. Even though I avoided his charge, etc., it did not go well. I came back and beat him when I was a little more powerful.

My experience is that fighting him on a Sorc was much easier, you just kite him around. Fighting him on a Templar with a resto staff wasn't bad either, being able to self heal makes it so much easier.

Dosha was easy once I saw that the orbs healed her.

I'm open to compromise. Change the loot to less for grouped members, and reduce the overall XP.
