Well, let me be the first to say that no matter how good you are or how serious you are, we all welcome your writing. Never be afraid to submit a story, because at least three or four people will always read your work and give you advice on how to improve. That is a BGSF promise, and you can take that to the bank :goodjob:
There are plenty of newer writers here, and a good deal of experienced writers as well. And as far as fan fiction forums go, I am very proud to say that we are one of the best. And that is not just pride on my part as a member of this fine community, I can hold my head high and say you will always get constructive, helpful advice. Don't get me wrong, we're not perfect, and some people might be a little harsh, but as we say in http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1074182&hl=(:P), never put your own writing down. It's a tad cliche, but everyone was a beginner at one point, and I think we can all agree that none of us started out perfect.
I'm sure whatever you choose to write will be great, but please, as a general rule of thumb, invest a bit of time in your work before posting. I'm not saying spend a month editing, just make sure to do a little planning, make sure you really like the idea, and then read through your introduction a few times before showing us. Not that we'll be judging you based on your first story here, but how can we know how to help if we don't see your best?
Other than that just make sure you enjoy the process; at this stage you are writing for yourself, not for any of us. Have fun with it, and don't worry so much about improving just yet. That will come, of that I am certain, so for now just enjoy the experience.
I'm sure you'll do great :goodjob:
PS Sorry for the shameless plug, but I must say it worked rather quickly
