Never played MMO

Post » Sat Jan 04, 2014 10:07 pm

I have played Skyrim , Oblivion, Fallout 3, etc but I have never played a MMO. Any suggestions of games that have gameplay close to ESO so I can watch some how to videos of those games.

I could suggest a load of MMO's to play, but I honestly think they are all disappointing and will put you in the wrong frame of mind for ESO, it depends what you're looking for.

I think you all are sort of missing the last sentence of the op's post.

Any suggestions of games that have gameplay close to ESO so I can watch some how to videos of those games.

Guild Wars 2 seems to get the closest though, because of the combat and quest system. (no grinding 25000 alpaca weed dinosaurs, YAY!)

EDIT: yep... we all missed that.

Guild wars 2 then.

For some combat look at Tera or Neverwinter, they are quite similar to how ESO will work.

Neverwinter is F2P by the way, you can just download it and play it instead of searching the ol' YouTube.

I'd say look at Tera and GW2 as well, they are similar enough to give you an idea.

RIFT is a good game overall, there are some aspects I do hate about it also. -- it help to learn the MMO terms and how to interact with *real* people like in guilds. I was in the same boat as the OP is, never played one either, so I play some MMO's to pass the time until ESO is released and to learn about them. I played the starter kit of WoW to see what is like and play RIFT (witch is F2P). ESO is not a "get click happy" UI like the above mention games, it combat is more "in your face" If anyone want to how the combat feel like, go play a TES game while Rift is good for learning terms and how to interact in world where real (not NPC) people play.
