Not a beta driver. I have no idea what it might do this game. About to find out.

Seems to be ok, though i only played for a short while. I was getting a few more fps in the city. dipped into the low 40s a couple times. Better then the 30s i guess. no graphic errors. No rainbow colors.
Is that a rare thing for AMD or something like that? I get new NVIDIA drivers almost weekly.
Nvidia drivers just updated to 364.72 (20 days since last update)
AMD used to release drivers every month, but decided a while back to only release when they were 'properly tested'. Problem is that, they are going to cause problems or miss bugs so not releasing drivers frequently is worse.
Nvidia on the other hand, releases drivers pretty much every AAA game release (or soon after).
Well they release opt-in hot fix drivers in between general release driver updates.
The 16.3.1 should work fine it appears to have a few more bug fixes, stuff for VR and Vulkan API. I am using the 16.3's and they work great so I am guessing a few more extra things/tweaks are in teh officiall 16.3.1 release.
Still getting rainbow textures after playing a while. Is this one for AMD or Bethesda to fix I wonder?
There's nothing in the release notes about Fallout 4.

Well, the rainbow textures started happening when patch 1.3 was released. It was also the time the Nvidia Gameworks profile was added to Fallout 4. Even if AMD where to come up with something similar to gameworks, which they do actually have(BF4 proves that)it would not work because Bethesda has not made a similar profile to work with AMD. So i would say it is up to Bethesda to fix it for AMD users.
Oh dear, downloaded 16.3 this morning...ugh. Excuse my lack of terminology knowledge--but visuals are now really shaky/stuttering. Ideas for fixing as it makes me sick to the stomach to watch the screen? (AMD Radeon R9 200 series). Grandma gamer here!
After you uninstalled the old drivers did you use DDU to finish cleaning up what the uninstaller did? If not you can get DDU here.

Be sure when you use DDU to do it in safe mode. Of course this means you will have to reinstall the new driver. not sure if it will fix your problem but it is worth a try.
i personally found the new driver improved my gameplay. But that is just me. Everyones experience is different.
Ok! New adventures to try. Many thanks for your reply. Good to know that the driver, when properly installed, helped game play. Have a Nuka Cola on me!
