I think it would be nice to add a dragon armor feature. maybe be able to make it yourself since there will be smithing and you have to kill dragons to get the dragon shouts. Not sure about the weapons, maybe a dagger or shortsword from teeth or claws.

looks like the image (third from top) of dagger, shortsword, spear, etc... are daedric weapons. not really a dragon theme, but cool none the less.

So...what would the weapons and armor actually be made of?
When I hear the term 'Dragonic,' that makes me think they're made from...dragons...
So, do you mean dragonbone, dragonhide, dragons' fangs? Or do you mean some sort of metal that has been forged using the power from dragon shouts?
I'm just not sure.

It kind of reminds me of the dragon stuff in Runescape...
I've always wondered why it's called dragon, when it's some sort of extraplanar metal...or something like that.

I like the idea of new materials, but not necessarily calling them 'dragon.' It's vague and confusing...and just doesn't make sense really...

I don't like the armor, either. Sorry. :(

I don't want play some fantasy league or some superhero game. Dragon bone armor should look like, well, dragon bones?

One of the things I really, really, really, really, really liked about Oblivion and Morrowind is Bethesda didn't make the armor and weapons ridiculously outlandish. It kinda looked like armor was supposed to look, not like Batman's body armor.

But don't worry. Some modder will add that for you. :)

Edit: and female version will leave her half-naked.

Possible It would make sense to have people take advantage of a slain dragons scales to forge armour that protects against magic (i say magic instead of fire as these dragons will use a variety of attacks). It feels slightly stereotypical in a way and might not even be possible because when you absorb their souls, does their body disappear?

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:MW_DragonboneCuirass.jpg <--- A updated version of this is needed, I'm not keen on dragonskin though, unless it's cloth or lightarmor. Dragon scale should be used to accent the dragon skin/dragon bone.

I would image a dragonhide or dragonscale armor would be light armor, and possibly one of the better ones available.

Dragon weapons? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Fang_of_Haynekhtnamet

And the armor linked in the OP redefines "hideous," so I'll pass on that too. Heavy armor users have never suffered much lack, so let's get to some lovin' for the light armor crowd and get some dragonskin/dragonscale action going with all this "coming of the Messiah" crafting hoopla already.

And just flat-out "boo, hiss" on the OP for even suggesting trying to pass off Morrowind Daedric weapons as Skyrim Draconic weapons. :shakehead:

Fantasy armor of the worst kind. ES has kept armor to some degree of realism before and what you posted just doesn't fit. It's not the worst example I've seen though.
And supposedly dragons in-game incinerate themselves when they die so no dragonskin available.

I've actually been thinking this very thing. There's all this talk about the crafting engine and how it is "archetype" specific. From Todd's interview, it seems to be suggested that these archetypes were linked to the magical, combat, and stealth.

The point is: I guess I've been imagining that warriors will be able to forge their own armor from the dragons they slay (and it would be really cool if different types of dragons yielded up different types of armor). I also imagined that the completion of the main question would either (1) require the player to obtain some dragon artifact and/or (2) yield up a set of dragon armor for the player, whether by slaying some NPC or by making it herself.

So I agree: I would be surprised if your idea is not part of the main quest.

This is not dragon age. so forget the dragon armor. no disrespect , but i hope i don't see purple armor like in dragon age either. so please NO gay colors for warriors anymore! i love the materials that the elder scrolls have bin using. the black armor you get in the dark brotherhood Whas the coolest ever! and the black hand robe. also glass armor whas very nice. they have so many cool stuff and materials from previous titles that i really hope are still there. i'll be damned if i see a purple armorerd dude walking around, i will shoot myself in the face! ; )

Dragonic sounds bad to me, I would prefer Draconic or Dragonskin.

The only ones I find particularly badass are the ones that are already in TES: http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs28/f/2008/053/3/0/Weapons_by_Millions005.jpg, which are in fact http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:MW_DaedricWeapons.jpg.

Maybe when you kill the dragons you can loot
Dragon scales, dragon bones, teeth, claws and other dragon materials.

Once you got so many you after find a blacksmith with the know how to craft the weapons or armor for you.

there's a Rumor you can craft your own armor with the items from creatures you looted

Maybe dragons, like other creatures with massive amounts of scales covering their bodies, shed scales. You could find a scale sitting in the middle of the forest or something.

Maybe once you have killed the dragon, if it incinerates itself and no loot possible, you will then go to its lair and grab some discarded scales from there.

Are TES dragons similar to real mythical dragons who are obsessed with hoarding gold and gems in their lairs?
