Are you wondering how to place the planes? Or maybe how to set up the alpha channels?

Anyway, I think you should know before you go much further that there are mushrooms that are placed on the trunks of the original BC trees that are needed for quests. If you are going to make knew trees you will have to make the trunks pretty much exactly the same size as the original or you will get floating or enveloped mushrooms.

I'am planning to re build bitter coast in future with new flora also, but those planes makes me crazy, can i ask someone to help me with that?

Your new trees look great! I like how they are all twisty and gnarled - I can totally see them growing in a mucky swamp. :D

I am not a big fan of the first set of trees you posted but that mushroom-tree thing in the first 2 shots above are really cool looking. I could certainly believe them being in the BC. :goodjob:

The flora is rather interesting as well. :)

Well, the most hardly leaves is swamp leaves, i just dont know how to make planes for it, as i said - i can make texture, but i'am low skilled in technical of placing planes on trees...
I dont like idea to make copy/paste of leaves models, i would like to ask someone to make new ones, as Vality did it, his work is very beautiful, but seems he is buzy.
will these trees move like vurts, he hasnt done bitter cost yet and if you made it compatible with his work, you could save him the hassle or doing that regen, if any thing could you make it compatible with his ground cover mod one again amazing models cant wait for a release

Well Vurt stuff is great, but i would like to make my own one.

I don't know what program you are using but I have a link to what seems like a simple way to place leaves in 3dsmax using particle array....

http://www.andyzibits.com/tut_particle_tree_generation.html

I would be willing to bet that you could use a similar technique in any 3d app provided you know the equivalent tools and so on.

The tree trunks look great. I'm definitely in the "want" camp here, too.

As for the leaf planes, look at some of the existing trees. It's really not that bad - you need a texture of a leafy branch where the branch appears to attach to the trunk/bigger branches. You will need to set up an alpha channel where there aren't any leaves - however, there are a lot of really good leaf/branch textures to use as a guide.

You know what I've always felt would look right at home in the bitter coast? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_moss.

You know what I've always felt would look right at home in the bitter coast? Spanish moss.

Take a left to get to Seyda Neen, and watch out for mud crabs.

Hmm... Okay, i will try.

looks great, the first tree is very creative :) The flora is very nice as well. you could make a plane of leaves in NGplant, it's very easy to tweak, it can export to .obj.

If you have problem with NGplant just PM me.

The boring part with the Bitter coast trees is that it has fungi and sometimes other stuff (vines) attached to it, so basicly you must make the tree trunks 100% like the originals if you don't fancy floating things..
