New Bug: Ghost Moves Player

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 4:07 am

My copy of Crysis 2 recently got delivered and I must say it really is an awesome game!!

I came across a few bugs, and one that I havnt been able to find any reference to on the forums.

In the first level of the game, just as you are told to make your way North across the park: I had just remapped Crouch to the Left Ctrl as it felt more natural.

1. Standing behind a steel "cover" thing but NOT going into cover mode, I used the Visor mode, then enabled cloak. After tagging a few enemies, the player did a weird movement which i tried to correct but it continued being dragged to the left of the screen, as if it were in cover mode. I cant be exactly sure if the character was walking or just moving....sounds weird I know :/ (After jumping around/changing weapon it stopped and appeared normal)

2. Oh and the Stealth Kill option disappeared. And the melee key seems to have stopped responding, NO my KB is fine.

Anyone come across this first bug or something similiar?

Were you holding the keys down?

The movement keys? Hmmm, maybe yes, thats why the character was moving without my command?

The first "bug" you reported must be done like that. The game controls your visor. But after respawns stealth kill and melee stops working, yes. That is a real bug which does not affect multiplayer, the game mode which counts as the 90% of gameplay experience. Singleplayer is just because of.. dunnowtf... Anyway, SP is still awesome, there's no game without SP (which hasn't that sold via digital download and only WoW "works" well that way), but I can see that Crysis is still a technology presentation and an awesome game for SP&MP in one software.

I meant the visor/stealth keys.

Sometimes if you hold too many keys, one or two will lock on (no idea why) causing the movement. Usually you just need to hit the key again to get it fixed.

So if you were moving left, you'd hit the left movement key.

Thanks, I'll try that if it happens again.

@VoidX, what do you mean the Game controls your Visor? Maybe for certain set pieces or cutscenes, but not during gameplay.

I still think this is a "legitimate bug" (lol), though.
