I am having an ingredient-related crash. I forgot to try a different ingredient, but the game crashes immediately when my PC tries to consume "Dog Meat". I do not know if it is a COBL or MMM item. He pulled it off of the dead Goblin Shaman in the first room of the starter dungeon.


Edit: It's definitely the dog meat...

I think you have a problem with Cobl, because the Cobl Merge Later plugin is missing.
Try to reinstalled Cobl through OBMM instead of the BAIN installation or vice versa.

Sorry I can't help you with MMM so good luck.

I have not ever used the COBL Merge Late plugin. There is nothing wrong with the COBL installation. That plugin is not installed because I did not check it to have it installed.

I have not ever used the COBL Merge Late plugin. There is nothing wrong with the COBL installation. That plugin is not installed because I did not check it to have it installed.

There might be a problem with Harverst Flora 3.0 and if I remember correctly that mod must have Cobl Merge Later plugin installed.

There might be a problem with Harverst Flora 3.0 and if I remember correctly that mod must have Cobl Merge Later plugin installed.

That COBL plugin is for COBL-aware hunger mods. Dog Meat is an ingredient from MMM, and I unchecked the COBL Catalog option and the Coblize items script...

This is the core part of Cobl. Be sure to install Cobl Main.esm and all of the resources. Note that if you're going to use Cobl Races, you'll also need to install Cobl Cosmetics Res 01 (separate download from same place you got Cobl).
* __Cobl Main.esm__
* Activate this. This is the core library of Cobl.
* __Cobl Glue.esp__
* Activate this. While Cobl Main.esm defines stuff, it's Cobl Glue that does most of the work of actually putting that stuff into Cyrodiil. Theoretically, you can run without this, but you would hardly see any Cobl stuff in the world if you didn't have it active.
* __Cobl Si.esp__
* Activate if Shivering Isles is installed. Adds Cobl items to Shivering Isles.
* __Cobl Tweaks.esp__
* Activate (unless directed otherwise) but load early.
* Note: While Cobl Glue avoids making substantial changes to the world, Cobl Tweaks does tweak some things. Specifically, it modifies some creatures to include [[#|Lore Ingredients]] drops. * Activate this if you want Cobl's expanded Race/Cosmetics options.
* __Order:__ Be sure to load after other mods that inadvertently alter races. (E.g. many companion mods.)
* If you have several mods that make conflicting changes to races, you should probably use a [[#UseWryeBash|Wrye Bash]] to resolve them.

* Note that Cobl Races requires that Shivering Isles be installed/active.
* __Cobl Filter Late MERGE ONLY.esp__
* **Do not activate this mod! It can ONLY be used by merging it into the Bashed Patch!**
* __Missing Masters:__ Most likely this mod has masters that are not available on your machine. As a result activating it results in a "Missing Masters" problem which will cause Oblivion to crash immediately on startup.
* However, when Bash merges this into the bashed patch, it does a [[http://wrye.ufrealms.net/Wrye%20Bash.html#MergeFiltering|filtered merge]] which discards references to mods that you don't have active, thus avoiding the missing masters problem. (Which is why Wrye Bash is required.)
* Adds foods from a number of mods to the Cobl [[#|Dinner Plate]]. Hence it is only useful if you're using a using a Cobl aware hunger mod. In addition, it will not function unless you also have OBSE 15 (or higher) installed and active.
* __Order:__ This mod should be just before the bashed patch in load order.

Edit: Items with restore fatigue effects seem to cause the same crash.

The only thing I can of is this "1E SM Encumbrance and Fatigue.esp [Version 2.6]" causing CTD with restore fatigue effects.

I know there is an update for the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16704 mod.

The problem is not just restore fatigue, and I was only running the official ESPs, RBP and the Bashed Patch when I discovered the restore fatigue issue. (I did not bother to post my five-plugin LO.) I am guessing it has something to do with my UI config. Ah well... Eating alchemical ingredients is something my PC almost never does, haha. If SM had not been installed at the beginning (which removes the starting spells), he would have never tried...

It is going to take a while, but I hope that is the correct guess. Aww, geez... I could've just moved the Menus, Meshes and Textures folders... I will report back after I have reinstalled the rest of my base, which is basically Robert and FCOM (+COBL) right now.

You could try to have all of the Cobl resources in the "00 Cobl Core" installed just to be sure that haven't to do with your recent CTD issue.

Btw... I don't know if I'm online when you get back, because I really need to throw out my current OS setup to the junkyard later this evening. Remember my local time here is 6 hours ahead of Bethesda's time zone.

Now it is crashing immediately, without anything other than the Win7 trying to find a solution message, with or without plugins, with or without OBSE. Maybe I uninstalled something I should not have, and I do not know what that could be. The Oblivion.ini is not the problem either... I only have five non-Microsoft services running, and none of those should have anything to do with Oblivion running.

Oh well, time for a reinstall...


Edit: All right, the game did not crash until SL tried to save in battle. (I'd forgotten to replace the INI files with my configs.)

Only thing I can say is to start over and just reinstall from scratch if you're having problems loading vanilla +UOP.
Also this is kinda disheartening since you're the creator of POSItive...

No, I got past that. I am still thinking that the last thing was a UI issue. I wonder if it is a Bashed Patch configuration problem. I have never had this problem before, alchemical ingredients not working... :(

Looks fine as far as I can tell, except that you should update OOO to 1.34. But that shouldn't cause this issue of course - no idea on that.

I can't believe I missed that one... Okay, well that leaves the Bashed Patch to check I guess, maybe scripts...


Edit: The vanilla test checked out all right, so I just need to go through these plugins, whew...

That COBL plugin is for COBL-aware hunger mods. Dog Meat is an ingredient from MMM, and I unchecked the COBL Catalog option and the Coblize items script...

I don't use hunger mods either, but I do have both COBL catalog and Coblize items checked. Never had a problem with that.

I have those checked as well. Right now, the only thing I am trying to figure out is the alchemical effects not working issue; however, Bash is being mean, which has temporarily halted all progress.

Update: FCOM is out, unless there is a really obscure edit in one of the MMM or FCOM add-ons. I'm throwing in SM and LAME now. Nothing else seems to be a likely candidate. COBL has been in the whole way, as it should...

Edit: All right! All of the tests were either pointless are focusing on the wrong thing because I loaded up the whole thing and the restore fatigure from the stolen cheese in the Weye house worked...

Edit: I guess I should have tested with the same ingredients. So far, this only applies to anything I picked up during the Starter Dungeon tutorial, for all that show. Cairn Bolet Cap, Flour, neither gives a restore affect. Everything I have picked up since then seems to be fine, but I am really not sure... This will take a while.

Edit: All that will be left after this test (adding nGCD and Progress) is the Bashed Patch, the tweaks. :L

I once accidentally clicked the MAO skeleton tweak one time and it caused all sorts of crashing until I actually figured out what the problem was, just a suggestion.

I narrowed the problem down to nGCD.esp ... :L


Edit: Yup, just extracted it from my 50 plugin LO, and I get the same result loading it by itself.

Did you have cobl installed during the starter dungeon, maybe the items are not coblized.. But shouldn't they still work if not??
