So a thought hit me. if it is optional in game to become a member of the Rangers, (wich is really, REALLY likely) then what will you folks out their be like if you become one? Scourge of all enemys to the state? the Ghost of the wastes? any other type of player? etc.

I hope so. I plan on hunting down those slavers like the dogs that they are, I wouldn't say no to a little backup....

I'm not siding with the slavers for the first playthrough, however I may 'please' them a bit by doing a favor or something to get trusted. I will then proceed destroying them from the inside out =]

They are all rangers. New California Rangers. Do you mean the desert ranger? The guy with the trench coat and gas mask?

NCR is for New California Republic. The Rangers are the NCRR, to be precise. I guess since double r sounds too much like pirates, which are not that far from slavers, it's more common to refer to them as NCR too, thus confusing everyone. :ahhh:

Anyway, characters of mine who hate slavers will likely join them. That's what they were founded for.

The NCR is the New Californian Republic. They're all Californians.

The NCR Rangers are modelled on the Texas Rangers. They're the NCR's only known elite military force. They're multiracial, and have a chip on their shoulder about slavers.

Like a few others (I'm guessing), I sorely want the gas mask/ trenchcoat clothing/armour set for my character.

It just looks so..combine-like..

I really want this also. NCR Ranger>NCR soldier.

Plus my character really hates slavers, so a slaver hating person with some sympathy for NCR has a good chance at it.

NCR rangers are like FalloutNV's answer to the enclave

I love their armour almost as much as enclaves tesla/hellfire armour.

Since NCR rangers are the elites and backbone of the NCR, i wounder what CL's elites look like..

All lives of BoS, NCR and Caesar's Legion will end at the end of my scope
