New Canaan, Utah

Post » Wed Nov 03, 2010 5:59 pm

After you make your way out of Goodsprings and head towards the Crimson Caravan to get the rest of the reward money for saving Ringo there is a chat option that says "So what's next for you?" you choose that then Ringo goes on to explain he is going to head north and start and outpost in New Canaan, Utah. So if the Caravan goes then so would the NCR considering it is one of the major trading branches of the Republic...

What do you think? Seems kinda legit to me..

You never know. I mean look at Pittsburgh. It was just a sub-dialogue thing that I noticed..

If I recall correctly the lady that runs the Crimson Caravan office also made remarks about Utah. I could see it as a possibility for DLC. Or, in my wacky crackpot mind the next installment of FO that carries over your choices from this one have an effect on that one's world.

True, true. I mean like if Obsidian/Beth put time into putting that type of dialogue in then we should be able to expect something of the sort involving New Canaan.

It's certainly possible. Denver is too, if we are counting places that are only mentioned in dialogue. Thing is, though, I'm pretty certain that New Canaan isn't part of the NCR. I haven't seen any evidence for that. I think it's just an independent trading town, like how The Pitt was an independent steel manufacturing city.

Yes but the caravan is a part of the NCR so if the caravan leaves there then so is a portion of the NCR.

Right but a small part of the NCR being there doesn't mean it's now part of the NCR. If I go to Japan it doesn't mean it suddenly becomes a territory of the U.S.

Yes but think back the NCR is well greedy they quickly jump to take land as their own so if they see its a fair area they will try to control it imo
