New char role play help please

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 1:59 pm

Im starting a new char and want to role play a warrior which ive listed the details of what i want below in my role playing grid. But i need some creative people to help me think of a backstory, I roughly want to go on that his family was killed by the dark brotherhood for some reason, need a reason why hes in prison and why the emperor trusts him and why he needs to go on the quest to save the empire and defeat dagon. This char will be following the main quest and probably not many others, depends if i can fit it into the role play. I want to role play it fairly deeply so a detailed as you can be with advice would be greatly appreciated  Will probably make a couple of other role plays after this not relating to the main quest.

Heres what i have, anything you can add in any section will be a great help

Name: Aetius Lepidus

Class: Warrior

Race: Imperial

Main skills: Blade, block, heavy armour

Lesser skills: Armourer, alchemy, athletics, acrobatics

Brief overview: Needs to avenge his family, help bring empire back under control

Bio/back story:

Aetius’s family was killed by sleeper agents of the Mythic Dawn (MD). You see, Dagon and the MD knew that a child of the Lepidus line was destined to save the empire so they slaughtered the entire family. Mrs Lepidus, knowing the fate of her family managed to hide baby Aetius under a loose floorboard while her husband bravely tried to hold the MD assassins at bay. Surely, it was the hand of Akatosh that kept the child quiet while his parents and siblings screamed and died right above his little head. The town guard arrived too late and, as they checked the family’s bodies, little Aetius finally cried out. The guards took him to the local chapel.

Despite the Sisters of Akatosh who raised him, Aetius grew up with vengeance in his heart and steel in his hand. He also studied up on the MD. While in The Imperial City, he was able to identify a sleeper agent of the MD and took the first bloody strike to avenge his family – but not without drawing the attention of the city guards. Thus, he ended up in prison. . . .

Dump the DB from his past. Instead, his family was killed by sleeper agents of the Mythic Dawn (MD).

Thus, he ended up in prison. . . .

Now thats what im talking about! thank you very much acadian! i'll use that, i think having a backstory like that adds to the games immersion and can help influence what he does throughout the role play. Thanks again, appreciated :D

Wow, I currently have the opposite problem, got the character and backstory, but can't work out how to actually create him in game.

Personally, I would've gone a different way with the backstory. I'd think that the mythic dawn would be showing their hand too soon like that. I'd have gone with a backstory of him training to become a member of the blades, when a rumour started going around that the families of blades were being killed. He fled cloud ruler temple, fearing for his family but arrived too late to save them. The guards arrived soon after, found him amongst the dead bodies, and arrested him for their murder. The emperor trusts him once Baurus or Glenroy recognises him.

Just my thoughts, I kind of agree with the above poster.
